  1. I reported this problem sometime back and had no responses that helped. But, I know how to cure the problem when it occurs. In my case this occurs when I'm at the gate programming the FMC, specifically when I insert the cruise altitude. If I insert the OAT temp before pushing the EXEC button (which lights up right after you put in your selected cruise altitude) then the spinning starts. Every once in awhile it happens even if I select EXEC immediatly after inserting the ALT. Then I just change OAT to something radically different than the actual temp and then immeditely switch back and insert the true OAT. And, the spining stops. So, in conclusion i believe it has something to do with some glitch with OAT and programming the FMC.
  2. I'm having an issue that has just developed sine the latest SP and it pertains to the Navigation Display Unit specifically the ETA of arrival at next active waypoint indicator. It's the reading in the top right corner of the NDU and looks like 0205.0z and it sits right above your ground speed readout. Just recently mine started spinning after IRS alignment for a lack of a better word. The numbers just keep spinning in ascending order and then repeats itself. I wish I knew how to upload a video of it to help explain. Then when you go to the FMC and go to the PROG page your ETAs on all legs do the same thing, just spins like a slot machine but doesn't stop. I have re-installed the program with the latest SP to no avail. This happens in both the 700 and 800. Any ideas?Chris Courtney
  3. I have the same problem with the speed tape. I have switched to Win 7 also. When you rotate on takeoff the entire speed tape goes red, very distracting. I have uninstalled and reinstalled as the administrator but no luck. Anybody else encounter this problem and solve it? I have another annoying issue with sound. The sound on the flight deck fluctuates noticeably. For example, you have your sound set to the normal level and if you toggle the seat belt sign, call sign, or several other switches on the overhead the sound drops way down and then slowly starts building back up. Weird. I have done multiple full uninstalls and re installs with no luck. All as administrator. I have the CD-ROM version for the 600-700 and the latest download version for the 800-900. The CD - Rom version is Version 1.3.Thanks for any input.Chris Courtney
  4. I had the same problem. Switch away from full screen to desk top in your FS9 view options. It works then. Make your change and switch back to full screen. I have no idea why. I have all kinds of bugs with the 737-800 in Win 7.
