January 14, 201115 yr On the 737-800,900 panel when you put the flaps out the red lines showing max airspeed for that setting goes to the bottom of the gauge and stays there until the flaps are raised, it dosent matter what the airspeed is , I have reinstalled but have same problem any fix for this thanks.
January 14, 201115 yr Full names required here. Be sure you run the installer with admin rights, which without that it cannot update a guage ini file that causes this problem. Dan Downs KCRP
January 15, 201115 yr The red lines on the speed tape give indications on the maximum speed you can fly the airplane. when you deploy the flaps, the maximum speed decreases because the extended surfaces can get easily damaged by air drag. That's why the computers of the airplane shows you the speed limitation coming down when you deploy the flaps for a certain extent.
January 16, 201115 yr Author As soon as you set the flaps the red lines go staight to the bottom of the gauge, if im flying at 135 knots and set flaps 1 the red lines go all the way down to 0 and stay their until you raise the flaps all the way.
January 16, 201115 yr I don't recall the color of the speed table gradation if you are below the stall speed for the weight of the aircraft but only flaps 1 at 135 kts generally is not enough to maintain lift without stalling. Vref is 30% above the stall speed. I could be incorrect and below V0 the indication could be white.Have you set the V speeds in the FMC? I also reset them just prior to descent starting descent to destination to take into account burned off fuel.
January 16, 201115 yr Author What im trying to say is it dosent matter what your speed is ,the red lines go all the way to 0,I know the line comes down to show you the limit speed for that setting. as soon as i set the flaps the line goes straight to 0 ,i can slow the plane down but the lines will not move from the bottom of the gauge untill the flaps are compleatly raised.
January 16, 201115 yr Author Yes i did, this is the only thing that dosent work on the panel. What do you mean by full names used here.

When you rotate on takeoff the entire speed tape goes red, very distracting. I have uninstalled and reinstalled as the administrator but no luck. Anybody else encounter this problem and solve it? I have another annoying issue with sound. The sound on the flight deck fluctuates noticeably. For example, you have your sound set to the normal level and if you toggle the seat belt sign, call sign, or several other switches on the overhead the sound drops way down and then slowly starts building back up. Weird. I have done multiple full uninstalls and re installs with no luck. All as administrator. I have the CD-ROM version for the 600-700 and the latest download version for the 800-900. The CD - Rom version is Version 1.3.Thanks for any input.Chris Courtney
