With EZdok even easier : cursor down to move perspective back. (or else check your EZdok key-settings which key you have set for viewpoint-back) Cheers,Stef

Flight Sim Commander Version 9 Review
A small correction to an otherwise in my opinion good review: FSbuild nav updates also are not for free anymore. The nav updates for FSbuild (as well as for ISG) are since beginning of this year handled by Navigraph (like also the FSC updates are).Them becoming payware (in a sence) though also has one added advantage: with having become Navigraph updates the FSbuild updates now have become regular, instead of previously much depending on possible available time in Ernie's undoubtably (very) packed schedule. The most recent (and last, as i understood it) free update available for FSbuild is Airac 1009 (from the FSbuild website).Cheers,Stef

Leonardo SH and Petraeus Index
Hi Petraeus,Although your index indeed does give a nice direct comparison in terms of fps, your statement "the Leonardo airplane, although similar in function, actually runs at less than half the speed of the F1/Coolsky airplane" takes me a bit by surprise.Even though i do not own the F1/Coolsky MD80 (i have the Leonardo Maddog, so have no reason to), i have read the review some time ago and in my opinion (based on that review) comparing the F1/Coolsky MD80 with the Maddog2008 is kind of like making a comparison between, for example(!!), a Wilco A320 and the PMDG MD-11 where system integration and -simulation are concerned. If you want an airplane that is nice to fly around a little bit, looks the deal but further lacks too much 'difficult things', get the Wilco machine. If all you are looking for is top-notch system simulation, for sure get the MD-11 (and in my personal opinion: if you want even more realism, get the Leonardo Maddog because even in the 2006 version they already had included things which PMDG still haven't touched in their MD-11).Considering that there is soo much to discover in the Leonardo MD2008 where simulated systems are concerned (example?? Just for fun start pulling fuses on the upper-overhead panel (or have someone else do it via the mentioned Control Panel so you don't know what is gonna hit you next! Even better! :( ). Angelique van Kampen did not mention this in her good review, but they do work and you can disable the entire plane part by part in doing so! Not even PMDG offer this kind of in-depth system modulation!) it is no wonder the Leonardo MD2008 is so much heavier on resources. Don't forget, almost every single system on the panel is modelled and works and reacts exactly as the real aircraft does.Bottom-line: the Leonardo MD2008 surely is much more resource hungry then the F1/Coolsky MD80 apparently is, but this also has it's obvious reasons.Don't get me wrong and surely the F1/Coolsky is a good product which a lot of people surely will be very happy with having it in their hangar, but my personal opinion (based on review of the F1/Coolsky machine and being a long time owner of the Leonardo Maddog) is that (when the two are compared) if you want to 'play' airplane, the F1/Coolsky may be your thing. If however you want to truly 'simulate' aircraft, get the Leonardo Maddog. My 2 cents in this.Cheerio,Stef

All over the place

Quick Way To Check Which Fsx Md-11 Version Installed..?
Hi Dan,Thanks for confirming am not going crazy after all :( : thought already i had seen some announcement like this somewhere before, but when i also checked the pinned messages yesterday evening to get this confirmed i could not find Roberts earlier statement anymore...Therefore simply went after the version number of the fsx installer exe in the yesterday downloaded combo zip-file, which in fact appears to be higher then the one originally downloaded and so considered this then should apparently be the updated version... My mistake.Sure was not looking at the FS9 installer though like you suggested as a possible cause: my fs9 runs on a completely different machine so if i would have run this one on my fsx machine surely i would have gotten other errormessages.Nevermind, case closed, and will wait patiently for the fsx updated version when she is being released. Thanks and best regards,Stef

Quick Way To Check Which Fsx Md-11 Version Installed..?
Good evening,Just downloaded the combo package, and, while being on my fsx pc anyway, straight away installed the there included version 1.00.0050 of the fsx md-11 over my in october released version 1.00.0003. Understand this version 1.00.0050 is the promised update for the fsx md-11, right?? Or did i miss something...Anyhow, am of the impression the installation of this ver 1.00.0050 update was remarkably quick, despite the size of the exe-file, weighing in at about 157 MByte. Good, am lucky enough to have a pretty fast pc both processor and drive-wise (Intel QE9650 and 2 x 300GB WD velociraptor in raid-0), but that fast!?!? Therefore am having doubts the update installed correctly. Also when afterwards checking the loadmanager (for example) it still reads a max zfwcg of 34, where i have seen posts this was going to be corrected to a much more realistic zfwcg of max 27(?). Therefore am wondering now: did it update correctly??Know for some aircraft it is for example possible to check versions of gauge files or the likes to check the installed version. Is there also such a possibility and/or 'trick'in the pmdg md-11??Am running fsx + sp2, on a Vista64 ultimate system for what it's worth. Many thanks in advance and congrats on a great plane!Stef

Asa And Asg Together Questions
Flater replied to B777ER's topic in The AS16 and ASCA | Active Sky | Active Sky Next | XPAX Support ForumSuppose one more here who is happy not to have 'jumped the train' too fast! :( Using AS65/ASG (on fs2004) for years and years already, and am perfectly happy with the way it works: kind of like "fire and forget". Ever since the first time reading about ASA and the word "snapshot" got a bit suspicious and decided to wait and see...Situation is clear now. This added functionality can (finally) do the thing for us. Good, because as the others in this thread i really do not see myself spending hours on end taking snapshots, suppose only to find out in the end that just this one situation which happens to be needed is unfortunately missing. Question though: it is mentioned earlier that "...You must have XG or ASG installed on the machine you have ASA installed on." Now, what if i want to run ASA via WideFS/SimConnect?? Installing XG or ASG on my WideFS machine obviously makes little sence, the way i see it.Or did i miss the point here??Many thanks for clearing this up for me.Happy holidays,Stef------Editted... Sorry guys, just found the answer to my question already in the XG manual. Promise to read the respective manuals first next time-round (shame on me...)Stef

RC V5 Callsigns
Good morning gentlemen,Haven't really checked and can well be you have already completed taking entries for new callsigns. None-the-less, in addition to an earlier post above which mentioned the EuroHarmony VA (www.fly-euroharmony.com), there are a few more divisions there which all belong to the same VA:EuroHarmony (main division): callsign EUROHARMONYEuroBusiness (business division): callsign EUROBUSINESSEuroHolidays (holiday/charter division) : callsign EUROHOLIDAYSThe HARMONY callsign mentioned in the earlier post is normally only used for online-flying. The 3 above are the 'official' ones, to be used for offline-flying.Would be great if these could be integrated in version 5.Many thanks in advance!StefEHM-1242
