  1. There's this version I just found https://flyawaysimulation.com/downloads/files/24777/fsx-boeing-727-100-200-adv-mega-pack/
  2. Nice card I am weighing up between the Gigabyte GeForce GTX 980 Ti G1 and the ASUS GeForce GTX 980 Ti Strix. So I am curious as to what Mo-Bo you went with Asus or Gigabyte?
  3. Hi Guys, Anoth exciting PC build coming my way, and yours if you want to assist with confirming GPU card....Lol I have tried doing as much research as possible and I am aware of the the nummber of tikes this question, or silular questions keep coming up. But you never know if there's someone out there who has a simular build just completed and are able to give the news. Maybe good, or maybe bad...lol However were my question might change the angle of attack is that I plan to run Tripple Screens, 1x 24"ASUS MK241H with 2 new x Dell U2412M, all 1920x1200 native. I am planning to play, I mean seriously fly, FSX-SE. The three cards under consideration are: Gigabyte GeForce GTX 970 4GB G1 Gaming Edition Graphics Card Gigabyte GeForce GTX 980 4GB G1 Gaming Gigabyte GeForce GTX 980 Ti G1 Gaming 6GB My build list: Intel Core i7 6700K Skylake Quad-Core CPU LGA 1151 MAXIMUS VIII HERO Asus Z170 Maximus VIII Hero Socket LGA1151 ATX Motherboard – DDR4 Noctua NH-D15 Multi Socket PWM High Performance CPU Cooler Gigabyte GeForce GTX 970 4GB G1 Gaming Edition Graphics Card Corsair HX1000i 100 Watt Fully Modular 80+ Platinum Power Supply Corsair Vengeance 16GB (2 x 8GB) DDR4 2666MHz RAM, Black – CMK16GX4M2A2666C16 Samsung 850 EVO Series 500gb 2.5in SSD Windows 7 Ultimate LG DVD/CD So the thousand dollar question is: Would the GTX 980Ti 6GB have an advantage over the GeForce GTX 980 4GB, with the demand of Tripple screens, and justify it's extra expense? I really appreacite your answers, or I hope I will. I do appologies for bringing up the question of comparisons again, but I feel that the triple screen demand might make a difference?
  4. Multiple monitors and Cockpit design :)

  5. Active Sky Evolution Service Pack 2 Released!Submitted by admin on Mon, 12/06/2010 - 11:10NEW VERSION OF ACTIVE SKY RELEASED! Integration with FSUIPC v4 (FSX) now permits 3rd-party add-ons such as Radar Contact to receive proper localized weather information when using DWC mode. These and many more enhancements have been made to provide the most refined and realistic weather experience possible.
  6. Just like to acknowledge and report that above instructions work well. With regards to I personly couldnt find anything in the effects folder. Although I do have all my engine sounds, flaps, landing gear and Warnings (No TCAS though)...I couldnt get any sound from the rotary knobs, switches and the classic "ding ding" for seat and No Smoking warnings. Although I am quite happy with what I do have, I tried a search to see if I could link relevent sounds from folders. But No success. Have discovered some instability problems with regards file "FFSSaab340.gau".I think this is the smoking gun when I my FSX crashes occur. Crashes seem to result from changing screen size. So leave your screen views in either FULL Screen or WINDOWS Screen. Yes I too have the dreaded ZERO fuel guage problem .....(Beggers can't be choosers). However, I use and recommend Flight Sim Commander as this provides a resonably accurate fuel quantity on the map display. And For those involves in VA, the FUEL USED display can be read, but only in 3D. For some reason the FI 2D cockpit dosn't work (So add this to the list too) But as I said, FUEL USED can be read in the 3D cockpit. :) Apart from these small but annoying issues, I would like to thank those who have posted the above solutions and welcome any more for the issues I have listed. Until then we'll just prey someone releases a worthy SAAB 340 edition for FSX. But some how I think not :(Look forward to further fixes for this version.Best regards Splash1
  7. Ok all fixed !I checked the controllerscripts and pilotscripts folders and confirmed there's missing files. All I can say is thank God (And programmers) for image software like Acronis. By mounting and comparing an image file which included rcv4. I was able to determina and obtain those missing files !!I then checked my anti-virus software and found a Tune up duplicate finder had executed on the same date as the folders had been modified, with the missing files. So I guess this was the smoking gun!! Pretty vicious attack if you ask me. So I have also gone through and checked other critical folders and all looks well. Thanks for staying with me on this and assisting. I Tested RC and all text appears correct. But this has also been a good push for me to turn off the text display and start flying like the big boys !!Would also highly recommend folks to research and look into using some kind of imaging software. If you have a good image of all your flying software, you can pretty much have those files re-installed at a press of a button. Or you can just do what I did, and fish out the files you need. Thanks again for a great product and hope you all have a great Christmas and holiday season.Best regards Splash1
  8. In [controllerscripts} folder....There's no such beast.However In [pilotscripts] there's listed 1.2.3.4.5.6.7.8.9....etc .txt files and 5.txt reads....."5"
  9. Hi JD,I am refering to the "display text" option with RC where "all messages from the controllers will be displayed in text."It still works the same and displays the controllers verbal communications as text---- EXCEPT NOW --- it leaves out the actual altitude and squawk code values. So for example: Instead of simply texting......"Climb five thousand feet".It now displays ......"Climb thousand feet". For the transponder codes it should display "Squawk 2345".But now just displayss "Squawk".Thus the actual values I am required to obtain are missimg from the text display!!However, the verbal statements from the controller are spot on and do contain the required altitudes and Transponder codes :)
  10. Hi Guys,I have been using Radar Contact for about 3 months now with FS9. I have FSX installed as well, but havnt flown with RC4. Being a beginner I have felt more comfortable using the Display Text with ATC, and this has worked very well for me, until just recently. The last couple of days I have noticed that when I am cleared for Take off, the text display window will have all the correct text in context with the clearance, but the specific data such as the correct climb to altitude and Sqwark codes are now missing. They are included and said correctly in the Audio output !!I have been reading the forums to see if anyone else has had a simular problem, but this seemed unlikely? And I will add again that everything was working corectly up until just recently. Not keen to do any major re-instals of course, I upgarded to FSUIPC, Version 3.93.and I am also running RC Ver 4.3.3845. All on a Vista x64 OSKeen to do any trouble shooting or Debug reports to fix.Another question I might add is - should I evolve to Not using the Text Window and maybe enable the "Pilot Autoreply" as I have read and noticed encouragement to other users to emply? But would like to FIX my missing DATA fro Text display first.Great software and look forward to resolving these small issues in the meantime.Best regards Splash1
  11. Hi Guys,Thanks for your confirmations. I guessed this might have been the case, but was hoping it wasn't. I just have to wait until someone brings out a SAAB + VC for that dream to be fulfilled. :( In the meantime I have 2D cockpit at least. Thanks again.Cheers
  12. Howdy Guys,I really like flying a SAAB 340b model, having down loaded it from a Virtual Airways I wish to join. The instrument panel of the SAAB uses that of the Beech King Air 350's.As per Notepad:Quote:[fltsim]alias=beech_king_air_350panelSo I got to thinking that if I can make do with the 2D Cockpit, why can't I just import the 3D cockpit of the Beech King Air 350 as well. Actually, as the above instructions point to the beech king folder. Why doesn't the 3D cockpit just become active?Hence, is it possible for me to make use of the Beech Kings virtual cockpit?I know it will be a Beech King 3D cockpit, but what the heck. I might as well enjoy 3D ;)Or maybe I can manipulate the Beech King folder to look and fly like the Saab. With this option the 3D cockpit is already there?Anyone had success with one of these two options?Desperate to enjoy my Saab in 3D luxury :)
