  1. You can just rename the file (i.e. fx_skidmark.bak). It's an effect file causing an important loss in fps when approaching airports but I haven't seen any visual quality loss deactivating it.
  2. I had the same problem and solved it deleting the fx_skidmark.fx file in FSX\Effects folder (tweak shown in the AVSIM Software & Hardware Guide).
  3. I solved this problem (affecting beside the Pilatus also the Real Air Duke) unchecking the Landing Lights option in Rex.
  4. I had the same problem and I found out that it was a REX settings causing this. I think you could try to uncheck the option regarding aircraft lights in REX options and it should solve the problem.
