J41 and FSPassengers?
Why don't you wait until FS2Crew for the J41 releases? That might fulfill your FO hunger.

To everyone who is having issues with ASA and the MD-11 PMDG getting random airspeed spikes, I do not have this issue. I used to with ASX and the first release of ASA. But after some tweaking of the ASA settings, the airspeed and altitude spikes went away. Everything is smooth sailing so far. When you are using ASA as your primary weather engine, you need to consider what settings you have. Yes, every single one of them can have a major impact on how FSX responds. I would also suggest to anyone who has ASA to make sure you get Service Pack 1 to ensure you have the latest fixes. Here are some settings to consider with ASA to get a handle on the wind spikes:General Options:Dynamic Rate of Change - Towards a lower percentage, mine is set to 30%Cloud Options:Minimum & Maximum Cloud Turbulence - Never take your Maximum anywhere near 100% as you will get some really terrible spikes. I have my minimum set for 0% and the Maximum set for 25%. This lowers the intensity at which Turbulence will affect the aircraft model. ASA seems to amplify the affects of turbulence a little too much during the simulation.Wind Options:Enable Direct Wind Control & Smoothing - Checked. This is especially important when looking for correct wind changes and no sudden spikes.Wake Turbulence Strength - 25% or close to thisMinimum & Maximum Wind Turbulence - This is the same as the cloud turbulence, 0% and 25%. No more or your going to get unrealistic amounts of micro bursts, which is basically what you guys experience, :( .Minimum & Maximum Wind Shear - 0% and 25%, respectively.Automatic Thermal Generation - 25%Terrain Based Up & Downdraft Generation - 25%Maximum Downdraft Rate - 50 fpm appx. This is VERY important to get rid of the annoying altitude changes.Maximum Updraft Rate/Thermal Rate - 50 fpm appx. VERY ImportantVisibility Options:This section isn't that big of a deal, however, I recommend you check Disable Haze Layer and Enable Visibility Graduation and Smoothing.Remember to click the green "Save and Apply" button at the bottom right of the ASA screen. That pretty well covers the settings to where you will want them to be to get rid of the sudden airspeed and altitude spikes associated with the PMDG MD-11 and ASA. This will also help any other addon aircraft you have with ASA. Once again, these settings work best for me and I enjoy smooth, but correct turbulence simulation. Some settings may need to be changed depending upon your own liking and what bests suits your flight sim configuration.Hope this helps!CapP,As far as importing the winds aloft into FSBuild, are you referring to ASA or the REX Weather Engine? I get winds aloft from ASA with no problem in all of my flight plans in FSBuild.

I have never had any issues between Active Sky and PMDG. I've owned all version in the past, AS6, ASX, and currently ASA. And to answer your question about REX, I really don't think you would see an issue because environment textures and the aircraft model are in two different sectors of the flight sim. Unless you are referring to the performance of the flight sim, then you might see some frame rate drop, which is normal for any big addon. Relative to REX, I have Flight Environment X and have yet to see any issues come about while flying the MD-11 or 747. I do plan to change over to REX 2.0 as soon as I build a new machine, just for personal choice in graphics.

Pmdg B737 = You Have Control.
Still, I'm not finding anything on Aerosoft's site regarding the 737. I did find it on the SimMarket website, so maybe that's what he meant. Not to mention, the book is only written in German. So, I have no idea what it's about, lol.

Pmdg B737 = You Have Control.
The Only thing that Aerosoft sells related to PMDG, is the FS2CREW for the 747X. So, have no idea what you're talking about. Anything you see that says "You have control" is strictly just an advertisement phrase. The product is split into two packages called PMDG 737 The Next Generation and PMDG 737-800/900. You must have the Next Generation package before you can buy the 800/900 variants. Buy them directly from PMDG if you want them! But, yes, it's a perfect addon just like all of PMDG's products. If you're getting into FSX, I'd wait on buying the 737 for FS9. PMDG's next release after the MD11 for FS9 is the 737NGX (Next Generation FSX version).
