Hello, I'm here again. So new flatten applied to the scenery how you can see on the attached picture. Yes I know, I need to improve my design with a little corrections and distance between each flatten, but it is not an easy operation. Anyway looking better into the picture, seems that land class are missing on the top of the rocks. I think that only with the Sbuilder could be possible to add a land class, but I tried several times to do that, also reading a lot of tutorial but until today nothing. Somebody of you know how to add land class in to the scenery? I'm currently using the last version of Sbuider for fs2004. Tnks again and regards Andrea

Hello Dave, understood now. So you suggest to prepar flatten one by one from zero (larger) to 291 feet (smaller one). I will try that, thanks for your input. For Ronzie, ref. your last post, I confirm I have fsuipc registered. Can you pls explain to me how to put rocks into the scenery using Sbuilder? I found several tutorials around the net on how to prepare scenery from photoreal and so ... but I'm getting a lot of confusion, I try to do that step by step. When you have time for me pls can you give me an input step by step starting from my present situation: the sea is flatten, so now my problem is concerning only the rocks (the wall situation on the screen reported above). Using flatten method I will try to reduce step by step the wall but I wish to replace also the texture with a more realistic rocks. Ok more or less I understood. The airport elevation is like the real, 291 feet. If I put the flatten I reduce the elevation at which level? Tnks and Regards A.

Update: I used Sbuilder and now I removed the sea coming up with the flatten. But now I have second problem: I have the wall on the rocks. Is it possible to reduce this wall? Just to have somethink like in the picture posted by RJ 3Green. I post my actual picture. What mean sloped flatten, how I can get it?

Hello Dave, thank you for the info. I downloaded the Sbuilder for fs2004. I tried to use it changing something inside my scenery. No more than a flatten applied. Now I wish to improve it. Is it possible to import inside the Sbuilder the scenery map from my fs2004 (in this case Aldernay island) in order to apply the new land class just to have a pretty good scenery and avoid the rocks wall that is coming up after the flatten has been applied? Other think: I tried to import a photo scenery coming from the google map into the Sbuilder "map" tab, but I am always finding problems and errors like "position calibration". I think there is something wrong using my "capture wiz" picture program, because I cannot "shot" the whole screen picture that require a scroll from up to down and from left to right in order to have the complete picture resolution. I read several info on the Sbuilder forum but I am still having these problems. Any idea on that or a little input? Pls your help is very appreciated, I wish to import the photo from the google map and work on it inside the Sbuilder in order to apply some land picture and correct the wall coming now from the rocks. Hello and thank you to all. Yes I have the same problem of 3Green. Thank RJ, I think the only way to follow is to use Sbuilder. I try to use it but first impression it is not user friendly. But I wish to try with it. Your scenery after correction is pretty good, fantastic job. Hi Guys, I have a really frustrating problem with Alderney default airport after the Flight 1 Ultimate Terrain Europe UTE has been installed on the base FS2004 FS9.1. Removing UTE or disabling UTE Block Europe 2 inside the library scenery, I am able to restore to the default scenery sitation. In this case all is ok, but without UTE improvement scenery. Now I give more details about my problem with UTE enabled: coming from Guernsey approaching to Alderney default scenery airport RWY 08 I see the water sea coming up and covering the rocks below the runway... looking around seems to be the bug named "flatten" that some other user already esperienced also with other sceneries where the rivers are over the top of the ground and some thing like that. Is it a mesh or landclass problem? I don't have big experience on this kind of problem, but it is very frustrating. But looking the Air Aurigny virtual flight on youtube, the video flight sounds good, so I cannot understand how to fix it. May be I need some good scenery like a VFR and/or photoreal just to cover the bad area. Maybe somebody else already know the situation and solution. I tried several times to find out a good solution but until now no way. Also no patch available from the UTE. Please help me, I hope into a local UK simmer just to improve my Channel Islands scenery without this horrible problem. Thank you and have a nice fly. Regards

Hi Andy,sent two times mail to the VRinsight technical support, but until now, no answer received.Do you have the possibility to infom somebody about my problem?Anyway in the next hours I will post my message on the VR forum.This morning I done the following test:disinstalled the AVG free antivirus from all p.c.Removed the serialFP2 program.P.c. restarted. MCP combo connected to the USB port, EXT power on, my p.c. detected the new usb device and give me the "usb installed and ready to be used".So I installed the serialFP2 program, automatically assigned the com3, FS2004 run first... then I opened the serialFP program, selected the free MSFS aircraft, on the MCP display I had the HDG SPD etc... so until now very good, but few minutes later, the yellow and green leds began ON... with the "usb device not recognized" on the computer screen, and the "serialFP2" program all empty no info inside... so the system stopped to work. I am afraid it's a technical problem due to the hardware malfunction, because I have the same situation with the second p.c.Maybe a USB cable problem (some wire false contact) and-or a problem coming out when the MCP device getting a temperature, stop to work.How is the best way to talk with the VR custom service and or technical service? I know u try to do the best...Also me I cannot understand why this is happening, anyway I confirm, my M-Panel is working fine but no way with the MCP, for this reason I think there is hardware problem inside the MCP... or maybe something wrong about the driver, but I have already discahrged and tested the last drivers from the main VR web site...Also with these drivers nothing to do, I have windows XP service pack 2 and the free version of the AVG antivirus installed... so tomorrow I will try to stop the antivirus service and check again... but I hope to receive soon some help from the VR...Maybe some other simmer had the same problem.... HI Andy,this morning following your email I tryed again, using my laptop, so:connected the usb cable from the MCP to the usb port on the p.c., and MCP connected with the external power supply.Switched on the MCP to the EXT position, on the laptop screen: found new hardware... then... your hardware is ready to be used.At this point I started the FS2004 running first OK.Then I started the SerialFP2 - Set COMx manually.Under panel info: port:com3 type:n/a version:n/aon the select aircraft list: is empty no aircraft on the list.Rx:emptytx:emptyI tested also opening the SerialFP2 first then FS2004... the same situation reported before.Then I removed the usb cable disconnecting the MCP from the laptop, after few minutes I put back but the following message on the creen: "usb device not recognized"."one of the usb devices attached to this computer has malfunctioned and windows does not recognize it".Maybe the driver is missing? Maybe I have the wrong driver?Could you pls send me the correct driver and-or the last version of the MCP combo drivers for the XP?Anyway connecting the MCP into the EXT position (through the external power supply) on the left display I have the following message:SerialFP v2.520 MCP-Combi SN:_VRi_no more indicationsI tryed also with the manual hardware installation:Add Hardware wizard --> yes already connected the HW --> under installed HW:USB device ?!Unknown ?!... completing the Add hardware wizard: the drivers for this device are not installed (code 28)I tryed also the manual installation using the MCP dvd installation:location F:\ (DVD of VRinsight)under VRi_090203\serialfp\drivers\CDM 2.04.14\i386....... the answer is: no drivers found...It's very strange but maybe >I have not the proper drivers.... Hi Andy,today morning I tryed to installa the MCP combo panel... but I dont know why I'm not able to see it connected... so my p.c. windowx xp s.p.2 uk is not able to see the usb connection coming from the MCP...but I have the MCP powered by the external usb power supply and properly connected with the usb cable to the p.c.The MCP is lighted on, the normal welcome words coming out on the MCP display but I dont know...Do you have any idea bout that?Can you pls resume a step by step for the installation?This afternoon I will remove the programs, drivers all about MCP and M-Panel and I will re-install it again... maybe I put on the different usb port.... but first I will try the installation on my laptop in oder to check whats happening...Tnks again and greetingsciaoAndrea

Hi Andy,how are you? Few days ago arrived at home... so yestarday I tested for the first time the M-Panel by VRInshight... then, for the next days, I will test also the MCP Panel...First I wish to thanks you for the support... so I think the M-Panel is fantastic...easy to install and manage the system.I tested it using my default MD-80 Alitalia mentioned before, and it is fully working without any problem.Anyway I found only some little things, maybe due to my low experience with this new system:1) when I change the heading with the heading knob on the M-Panel, the heading data is properly chaning also on the cockpit screen, but i.e. on the M-Panel I moove to 200 but on the screen I have 201... no big problem, but maybe is possible to fix it...2) I'm able to select the AP (autopilot on-off), AT (autothrottle on-off) FD (Flight director on-off) but when I have selected all of these I'm not able to press and select the "HDG" and "SPD" and "ALT" in order to keept them selected, but I need to select still using the mouse on the cockpit screen... I think it's my fault.... because all other commands are working fine....I'm able to control and select everything, nav-approach, frequencies, baro ecc. but only with HDG, SPD and ALT I have not understand how I can press it using the M-Panel Knobs....Do you have some idea or info about that?I specify that I'm using the original cd-rom driver installation and programs... if oyu have some link to give me in order to download updated manuals, tutorials and drivers-programs pls let me know.Anyway until now, my experience is improved and I'm very happy about my choise... so thank you so much, and I'm looking for maybe to order asap the new compact system by VR.Tnks and CiaoA.
