Would overclocking do any good in this situation?

If I were to have 2 monitors set up on my computer, would it be possible to have one just running FS9/FSX and being able to have an internet window or something else opened on the other one?

Hello, After trying the tweaks posted by Word Not Allowed and the automated tweaking tool from Bojote, my FSX performs pretty well EXCEPT in cities where I have Aerosoft US Cities X installed which are San Francisco and Manhattan. The FPS range at about 6-9 FPS and there are stutters. I don't think my system can't handle it. I know the RADEON HD 6970 is not the best for FSX but I'm trying to figure out what else I can do to to make the sim run smoother in those areas. Any advice/suggestions will be greatly appreciated. My specs are listed on my profile.

Hello,I have updated the FDEs and the model files on my POSKY 777s and for some reason when I get the plane to my cruising altitude, the aircraft starts to slightly roll back and fourth. Has anyone had this problem?Thanks.

I have updated my Project Opensky 777's with the new FDEs and Model Updates posted on the POSKY website but now the spoilers, ailerons, and back tails will not move and just like I had a problem with updating my POSKY 737s, the 777 will not sit properly on the ground and have tired looking for the XML files as told in my last post but cannot find anything. Has anyone had the same problem with the 777s when updating them?Thanks.

I updated the model files for the POSKY B737NG's but the landing gear and front wheels go through the ground. Anyone has this same problem? Solution?Thanks.

I'm sorry if this has been posted already in the forum, I tried the search function but could not find anything.When flying the Project Opensky Boeing 737NG and running out of fuel, a message box appears that I should refuel or switch tanks. I notice that the right and left tanks are fuel but don't know how to switch to them. Any help appreciated.Thanks!

Hello,I have been using FS9 for a long time now and have purchased FSX about two months ago. I've been having a really difficult time figuring out the settings for good performance and great graphics but nothing seems to work. I have also purchased REX and the graphics don't seem to get much better. I've spend quite some money on FSX and have not used it because it ends up annoying me after playing it with stutters, and it being slow. I have defragged my hard drive, freed up space and done some tweaks suggested online but still doesnt work as good as the screenshots posted by other Flight Simmers and the way REX is shown on their screenshots website. My specs are (not the best specs as other people's computers):-Intel Core2Duo T8100 @ 2.10Ghz-4.00GB RAM-NVIDIA GeForce 8600M GS-64-bit Vista PremiumAny one has any tips, I will really appreciate it. I just feel it has been a waste all along having the program and add-ons and not being used.Thanks!

Hello,I downloaded the PS Panel for the 737NG on FlightSim.com but my problem is that the switch for the red and green nav lights also turns on the strobe lights (there is no separate switch like the default FS panel). Does anyone know how to fix this problem? Also, the panel has disabled my control of the lights by using the keyboard (eg. if i type "L", the lights will not turn on/off, it must be from the panel.) Does anyone know how i can recover control of my lights using the keyboard?Thanks.

Hello,First, I want to apologize if this question has been, I have searched the forums to see if I can get an answer to my question but I am unable to find anything related.I plan on running my FS9 and FSX from an external hard drive (Maxtor OneTouch4, USB 2.0 with a 720RMP and 16MB Cache Buffer) because my OS hard drive is getting rather full and performance is decreasing. My question is if I run the simulators from an external hard drive, will it greatly impact the performace of the simulator itself when running?Thank you.

From all of the pictures I have seen from the downloadable aircraft, I have seen that some people have really nice graphics for their simulator. What are some of the good add-ons to improve scenery and graphics for Flight Simulator. I have a 512MB NVIDIA GeForce 8600 Graphics card and I have downloaded some freeware add-ons such as FS Water but would like to know of good add-ons that I can purchase to improve my scenery, land, etc.Thanks.
