  1. I have flown MSFS nearly every day for so long I am embarassed to say but it goes back to early '90's, I am rigged out to the point of divorce, I am an IT professional, ASE has crashed the last three hurricanes with intermittent working windows. And right now it ain't workin in Connecticut.
  2. I just want to fly in a hurricane...hurricane Sandy is the current H1. The last three hurricanes ASE has failed - server connection -- file translation - whatever thea problem is with translating the server code to HIFI...I dont remember, I don't care, I just know I can't run ASE the last three times a hurricane has been active in the caribbean...I opened a ticket but just ranted as I am doing here....When i start ASE on 2nd computer I can't run offline...or can I? I just want to fly and not read? Sorry but I'm PO'd. The best time for me to fly is hurricane season.....

  4. I already made a comment about the issue but I am amazed at the international contribution of this thread and wanted to make a scorecard for my own amusement - This list only reflects the users that stated where they are from or if the country is in the user signature. I guess the root of my amazement was that within a few hours of the issue, users all over the globe were posting here. USA - Origin of message - CONN, Calif, Brazil UK - x3 France Indonesia Thailand Italy Australia x2 Netherlands Germany
  5. Same issue here in Connecticut...Surprised ASE won't continue without the servers and allow me to run a manual config...I guess I'll have to read the manual :(
  6. I am a simmer since MS FS 1.0 I have never used X-Plane but it's obviously time to customize/expand/tailor X-plane to take FSX's place - -Here are some deep pockets the new X-Plane, PMDG, Aerosoft, Level-D et al "consortium"can dive into in order pay your developers, overhead, marketing et al...Tom Cruise -Pilot - AC OwnerClin Eastwood - PilotJohn Travolta - Pilot - AC OwnerHarrison Ford - Pilot AC OwnerMorgan Freeman - Pilot AC OwnerAngelina Jolie - Studen PilotJack Roush - Pilot AC OwnerColin Fergusen - PilotJimmy Buffett - Pilot AC OwnerJim Tweeto - only kiddingand many others
  7. Yo Dicko, Greetings down there from up here in Connecticut, USA. Ironically you and I have some stuff in common. 1. our systems are very much alike2. I use the MD 11 primarily with 2d panels on second monitor3. I am looking into the FPS limiter for the first time after 15+ yrs flying w/out one. I also use Active Sky Evolution and a moving map, Flightsim Commander 8.x on second pc as well as Radar contact on a third PC connecting thru Simconnect and Wideclient for Radarcontact, Just an FYI. I will try it on my system tonight and let you know if I get same results.
  8. I have been flying MSFS since version 1 on an IBM XT . Since that time I have managed to keep my mouth shut for 27 years on Bulletin Boards, Flight Sim Clubs, Forums, Blogs et. al. My recent purchase of the PMDG JS4100 has broken the silence in not one, but two posts here. My objective is to grab PMDG
  9. I watched the video, scanned the manuals, and read "downscc" excellent post here http://forums1.avsim.net/index.php?showtopic=259267 on how to start the PMDG JS41 engines. Again, this email is in 3rd grade English as I am not a writer or a pilot but here goes... Just follow the start procedures you have been laboring thru to start the engines THE MOST IMPORTANT part of the startup procedure IMO is to hit the feather button on the middle console prior to hitting the start engine buttons. The feather button pivot's the propellers, you want the propellers in the straight...or 90 degrees to the engine at startup (the second picture in the email I pasted above) -- apparantly this is needed so the engines don't overheat and reduces stress on the engines startup....again, if you want the technical reason see the post I pasted above. Follow that and you wont be roasting weenies on the JS41 engines anymore!!! Please see my next 3rd Grade English post regarding the lack of 2D panels on this amazing, again...amazing airplane.
