I just want to fly in a hurricane...hurricane Sandy is the current H1. The last three hurricanes ASE has failed - server connection -- file translation - whatever thea problem is with translating the server code to HIFI...I dont remember, I don't care, I just know I can't run ASE the last three times a hurricane has been active in the caribbean...I opened a ticket but just ranted as I am doing here....When i start ASE on 2nd computer I can't run offline...or can I? I just want to fly and not read? Sorry but I'm PO'd. The best time for me to fly is hurricane season.....

Loads fine for me, and it shows the Hurricane, although it doesn't display the data on the map. Just says to wait while loading data! Other than that no problem.

I have flown MSFS nearly every day for so long I am embarassed to say but it goes back to early '90's, I am rigged out to the point of divorce, I am an IT professional, ASE has crashed the last three hurricanes with intermittent working windows. And right now it ain't workin in Connecticut.

Have you opened a support ticket? I'm not aware of any crash issue with hurricanes and ASE.

 

Regarding the other post:

If you are not seeing hurricane data, have you enabled "Cloud" overlay in map, and have you ensured that "depict hurricanes" option is checked?

Seriously you're kidding right? some of us have had real issues with AS2012 crashing with hurricane data and had to disable the option, there has been posts from other users also, shame you dont check out your forum much these days.......you might have noticed the post

As we have clearly indicated time and time again, this is an unofficial forum and we check it from time to time but we are bound to miss some things.

 

With that said, we are making it a point to become more active here.

 

We prioritize our efforts in development and bug tracking using our support/ticketing system, and this issue hasn't been raised at all. It wasn't until now that I have become aware of this issue. I apologize to all ASE/AS2012 users for this. I have since identified and I believe have fixed the problem, which was related to startup order/synchronization and certain DWC depiction mode with a specific option configuration.

 

For ASE, all are welcome to test the SP4 update beta at http://dreamcatcher.hifisim.com/ASE_Update_SP4_B695.zip which includes the fix for this issue.

 

For AS2012, we will have SP2 public beta available very soon. We're just finishing up some touches in private beta before we send it out.
