Troubleshooting FS9 Crash (New Install)
Akula_Osis replied to Akula_Osis's topic in Crash To Desktop (CTD) Forum
I think I found the answer, in fact it was staring in the face. They have old installers and new installers, all the old product needs to be installed before the newer addon manager. Files get updated at that point. Starting over, fresh install.. -
Troubleshooting FS9 Crash (New Install)
Akula_Osis replied to Akula_Osis's topic in Crash To Desktop (CTD) Forum
I did ask at that forum aswell, AVSIM is more active. -
Hola, I have a new system and want to reinstall FS9 with all my addons. Need to grasp how to troubleshoot a crash to desktop that is happening with 2 products from Cloud9. System is Win7 64bit. FS9 installs runs fine, 9.1 patch installed, Installed Rex FS9 and Ultimate Water Advanced tested runs fine, Active Camera installed (waiting for updated code). Aviano installed, Rivolto installed tested (start default flight, once in cockpit I change location then aircraft to test). Cloud9 Phantom installed and tested, runs fine. Problem starts with Cloud9 F-104 and Frecce Tricolori, both packages install fine but if I go to either aircraft in game I get a Crash to Desktop. I've excluded the modules folder from my AV product. What do you think? Any ideas on how to figure out the issue? Thanks in advance.

Cloud9 F-104 for FS9 Start Up Problem (Cold & Dark)
Akula_Osis replied to Akula_Osis's topic in The FS2004 (FS9) Forum
DieselTen,Thanks, that's it. Manual error. The manual v1.03 under "System Procedures" > "Engine Startup-sequence" > 2) Make sure ENGINE SHUTOFF emergency switch on left console is OFF;Switch is actually "FUEL SHUT-OFF", it needs to be "ON" and guarded. With the Cloud9 aircraft, setting the guard is manual (not auto like some). Finally now I can get it started. -
Cloud9 F-104 for FS9 Start Up Problem (Cold & Dark)

Note: Item #3 above should read "ON" not "OFF" (Fuel Booster Pump).Oddly,That didn't help. But I have one additional obeservation, once everything is running and engine is spooling at 25% (is that the normal percentage for the air pushed by the GPU?). If I touch the throttle, everything shuts down.Documentation, mentions nothing about Generator 1 & 2 switches which I find strange. -

I'll give it a try, thanks! -
Here's my problem, I can't spool up the aircraft.1, GPU procedure completed2, Engine Shutoff valve switched to OFF (as per patch, External Fuel ON, Pylons selected - SP2 procedure).3, FUEL Booster Pump 2 switched to OFF (more than one position?).4, Starter Switch 1 clicked on and released (more than one position?).Engine only spools up to about 35% but never exceeds that and then shuts down and the pit goes dark.Thinking the problem has to do with step #3-#4 and multiple switch positions.

I always prefer to do a cold start, but for the life of me have never been able to find an option in create flight that sets this preference. Is this offered?

Check your SPAM folder, possible the email from them was redirected. They may actually be having issues today, I noticed the website was up and down due to an error. If you'd like to do some 104 Multiplayer let me know, I've got the Cloud9 Italian airbases and am flying some nice skins.
