  1. G'day Bryan,I can't seem to get the soft mute to function. I have assigned it via the Config Manager however it doesn't work. When I hold down the button the "M" symbol doesn't appear in the main display and the FO still recognizes commands. I have tried assigning button 1 on my yoke and also tried various keyboard keys with no luck. I had a look at the file "FS2CrewInputMapper.CFG" found here:...\Microsoft Flight Simulator X\FS2Crew2010\Versions\Jetstreamand it has the entry: FS2_Main=JoystickButton1So the Config Manager saves the command but it won't function in the Sim. Any thoughts? Can anyone else confirm that their soft mute functions? Thanks,Serge

  2. G'day Pawel,A possible workaround for this problem (I haven't tried this so I can't say for sure it works) would be to give the FO an intermediate heading first that is less than 180 degrees which would force him to turn to the right, say 040, then give him the final heading (090) once the aircraft has turned enough for it to be less than 180 degrees to the final heading, in your example it would be anytime after passing heading 270 degrees. It's an extra voice command you need to issue but hopefully it will get the desired result (until Bryan adds the feature you requested :( ).Regards,Serge

  3. My flights so far using FS2Crew have involved ILS or visual approaches so I haven't needed to set the MDA in the FS2Crew Config Panel. Today I thought I'd try a Non Precision Approach so I went to the FS2Crew Config Panel and set NP as the approach type but when tried using the mouse wheel to set the MDA it wouldn't change. The MDA was set to my current altitude and as I descended the MDA continually matched the descending attitude.According to the manual the approach type and MDA is set during the descent preparation prior to TOD but I couldn't get the MDA set. I'm sure I have done something wrong at my end and it's probably something simple I've overlooked so if anyone can shed some light on this it would be much appreciated. Thanks,Serge

  4. Hi Serge,I thought Serge was more of common French name...At any rate, Pete above you is also an Aussie and can't get that phrase to be detected. Are you able to say that phrase with your normal AU accent or are you changing your accent a bit?
G'day Bryan,Yeah, my name is actually Sergio but tend to be called Serge most of the time so it kind of stuck.I just speak "normally" and don't change my accent so I guess that means it's an AU accent then.Cheers,Serge

  5. G'day Bryan,A voice command I noticed missing from the manual under the Autopilot section is "Bug Altitude". This one is quite handy as I seem to spend most of my flights cruising below the Flight Level and it is also handy for asking the FO to set up altitudes for the decent.Regards,SergeEDIT: Oops, I found this mentioned in an earlier post. Disregard.

  6. Naturally I would defer to RSR, but to the best of my recollection, once engaged, the props remain synchronized until the Condition Levers are adjusted. Depending on considerations like crossing restrictions, etc., the condition levers would be moved to FLIGHT at some point late in the descent (or early in the approach), or during the Landing Check at the latest. I don't have any explicit memory of who performs the function, but since the PNF manipulates the Condition Levers, I would imagine that he would also disengage the Prop Sync just before doing so.
Thanks for the responses. So it sounds like that when I call "Condition Levers Flight" on final approach, the FO should turn off the Prop Synco before he moves the Conditions Levers to Flight. If this is the case then I'll turn it off prior to calling Condition Levers Flight however is this something that you can program in for a future patch Bryan? Not a biggie though.Cheers,Serge

  7. According to the AOM (Ch 8.6 page 5) Prop Syncro should be off for take off and landing. The FO ensures this switch is off during the pre-flight prep and as part of the after takeoff flow the FO will turn it on however the FO does not turn it off during the approach prior to landing. Is it my responsibility to turn the Prop Synco off prior to landing? What's strange is that I cannot find the task to turn it off prior to landing in the checklists so it is either missing, I'm blind or the AOM is incorrect.Anyone know the answer?Cheers,Serge

  8. Thanks Chriz. The flow charts are excellent. The only suggestion I can think of is to ask if it's possible to make the pdf's a higher resolution as when I view these at 100% the text is a little bit blurry.Bruce,The left hand side of the flow chart is the Captains duties and the right hand side is the FO's duties (look at the headings). The blue text represents spoken words (either what you say to the FO or what the FO says to you), the black text represents actions, the green text is interaction with the Video Marshaller part of the software and the red text is just descriptive text.Regards,Serge

  9. Hi Serge,1. You do "not" need to start FSX from the Config Manager. You can if you like, but it's just an option. Basically once you have FS2Crew up and running with the J41, you'll never need to load the FS2Crew J41 Config Manager again.2. If you don't want to use FS2Crew for a flight, it's simple, just don't open the FS2Crew Main Panel. Easy as pie!3. Steep learning curve is relative. If you print out the tutorial flight and follow it, it's easy. The problems usually start when people try to use it "without" reading the manual. In fact, this FS2Crew will make using the J-41 a lot easier because the FO watches over you and helps you... this is an important because the J41 can be a tricky plane to operate as any PMDG J41 owners will attest.
Thanks for the quick response Bryan (apologies for spelling your name incorrectly in my first post :( ).One final quick question. Will FS2Crew for the JS41 be available from The Flightsim Store like your other products? It's not a big deal but as I already have an account there I thought I'd ask. Thanks,Serge

  10. G'day Bryon,I am relatively new to the airliner side of flight sim with the PMDG JS41 my first airliner add on (I have previously been a GA only flight simmer). As such I have no experience with your products however I recently viewed a You Tube clip of the Mad Dog version which looked very interesting and has sparked my interest in the JS41 version. I do have a couple of questions though relating to the integration with FSX.From the screen shot on the product information web page it appears to use FS2Crew FSX is started via the FS2Crew config panel. Is this a correct assumption or can FSX be started by other means (such as using ORBX's FSX GO utility which I currently use) with FS2Crew still loading? With FS2Crew installed is it always then activated or can I disable it for quick flights in the JS41 where I don't want to run through the complete check lists and flows? From reading other threads there appears to be a steep learning curve to FS2Crew. Is the manual available for viewing prior to purchase to get an idea on how complex this addon is? This would probably also help in answering my above questions.Regards,SergePS. Can I suggest producing a FS2Crew JS41 You Tube clip for marketing purposes? :(
