Hello all,I recently reinstalled Vista 64 due to virus. The system is working fine but my Md11 is showing blank screens with the control yoke locked to the left. The last time i had this issue i installed Microsoft Visual C++ 2008 x86 and it fixed everything perfectly. However this time, when i do that the md11 crashes the sim at the aircraft selection screen. Can any one shed some light on this and confirm the names of the C++ files that works for the MD11? Do i need any of the C++ Service packs?Ive search the other posts on this issue and also done countless number of installs and reinstallls.Gideon Ward

Hi,The Cabin lights are assigned to a keyboard button that u must press for it to go on. Open up the Md11 menu at the top and look under the key commands for Cabin lights..you can change it if you like...I forget the default command at the moment. Hope that helps.Gideon

Hi Russert...Thats my point...try a long range flight WITHOUT loading up a flightplan into ASA n let us know. Im thinking thats what allowed me to make that 9 hr flight without any issues (not saying its a fix but a good point to start troubleshooting). I came across your fix from the other thread in this forum...i think i did it incorrectly tho..but ill try it again and let you know.

Hello all, Ive experienced this TAT issue only recently as in two weeks now, After i started loading flight plans into ASA before starting Fsx. Today i made a 9hr flight from EGLL-TJSJ on the Md11 without any TaT issue and i have a sneaking suspicion that its cause i Didnt load up a Flightplan. Can anyone try this out and report?

Hmm Interesting, Temps jumped back to +45 after i climbed to FL370 from 350. Im now back at FL350 with everything back to normal. Im gonna try tweaking the default flight as mentioned earlier, hopefully that solves the issue.

Hello Guys,I too noticed this problem a few days ago (before i switched to network mode). This might confuse suspicions at the moment but i noticed that whenever the application is downloading Wx from the server the temperature jumps back to what it supposed to be, but soon as the download stops the temps go right back to +45 degrees. Im currently on a run from Spim - Tjsj..and just minutes ago switched on DWC mode and after 2-3 refreshes it SEEMS to have gone back to norm. Will report any changes.GW

Asa is currently installed on my main PC and working fine.However im trill to install it on a network to free up memory and ive lost the product keys. Can any one help? Thanks Gentlemen, My New GTX260 is now purchased im just praying I holds up well to my cheap n outdated 680wt powersupply. (Note to self and other simmers stay away from those Computer Fairs they are a real rip offff if u dont ask All the right questions like i didnt). Sooo My next question is: say i were to Upgrade my mobo to say a 780i which is a newer version of the nvidia chipset would i need to reinstall Windows Vista 64?

Hello Captains,Recently bought a new rib for FsX..for a ok priice...come to find out the mobo is a little outdated n the powersupply aint all that..but Just wanted to find out in the interim If it would be better to get the Ati 4870 1gig GPU with my setup OR the GTX 260 Core 216 896MB 448-bitQ8200 @ 2.33, 4GB ddr2800, Vista premium 64, a 500 GB HDD dedicated to FsX only, a 22 inch flatpanel..TV, and a SUNteC 680wt Powersupply (As a back up i also have a 19inch Monitor if the tv setup aint thee best)...oh yea n the mobo is a P5n73-Am..with the Nvidia Geforce 7050/nForce 610i chipset...which uses only Pci Express X16 and X1.....Thanks in advance for all yourhelp n input!Gideon B

Hello Everyone !..I Just purchase a new rig for FsX..with a Asus p5n74-AM Mobo thats Using a PCI EXPREss..x16 1.0 slot..(one minor detail i overlooked at purchase) But im Now crossing my fingers n Hoping that the ATI 4870..video card which uses PcI EX 2.0 technology is Compatible With My Motherboard. Please Someone Say Its So..! Is it Compatible at All? or do i have to look 4 a lower end Graphics card?. N If its compatible will my brand new untouched rig suffer perfomance wise :( with the lower "BandWith"??BTW i didnt buy the graphics card Yet.Gideon B
