The video is "raw" to say the least. Maybe that is a good thing, as milviz are showing that they aren't hiding anything. It's all there for everyone to see. Warts and all. From that view point, it is kind of refreshing to see this "personal side" from a developer. It is better than a highly polished video that has been edited to hide the obvious bugs to maintain plausible deniability. I'm talking about the "If you can't see it in the video, than the bug doesn't exist", excuses that you get from some devs.

People may be missing the point because the dev hasn't communicated that fact until recently. Attention spans tend to shorten along with the fuse of people's patience. In other words, they stopped listening to the perceived BS from the dev, and have moved on. At least some of them. A full refund on the KA is about the only way milviz will retain any credibility with some users. As I said in my previous post, I have moved on. I will spend my hard-earned cash a little more carefully from now on.

I'm not going to hold my breath for anything milviz does from here. Burnt once and I'm done. I am at the point of preferring carenada over milviz. At least I'll know up front that I'm getting shafted.

Fingers crossed. But honestly, at this point in time, I place Milviz 3 places below carenada/alabeo, and BBS.

I do like your paints, you do some very nice work. That's too bad that you aren't going to update your repaints of the beaver. I understand your reasoning quite clearly, though. I bought the Beaver based on the Avsim review, and considering the fact that it won the Avsim Gold award, I thought it must be pretty good. I no longer feel that way now. In short, I feel ripped off, on multiple levels. Shame really.

I have had this occur a couple of times. I allowed the sim to correct the sequencing and was able to continue flying without issues.

On board sound cards do use the cpu for the processing of sound files. With an aircraft like a PMDG, which has numerous high fidelity sound files, add in some dense cloud cover, and you have a recipe for stutters. A quality, dedicated sound card will process the sound files without bothering the cpu.

Autogen has been rendered by the gpu using tessellation since P3Dv2 launched.

No worries, Vic. Have a good week-end.
Now to get this thread back on topic. Amelia.

LM have made lots of changes relating to textures, reflectivity, materials, etc. The sdk has tons of info in there.

It looks normal to me. The airport surfaces have been changed in P3Dv4. They been re-done in a higher resolution.

Maybe it has something to do with the H2o? Check your weather. Or else, I am totally missing your point.

I do not think that Open LC adds any airports. Just the Orbx regions and freeware add on packs. (ie; PNW and NA Airport pack)
For MyTraffic6; Go to the My Traffic Pro install folder. Inside will be a Scenery folder containing 2700 afcads. Look for the file BR2_KMSP.bgl and change the name to BR2_KMSP.OFF.

Thank-You, JYW. That may be so, but I'm Canadian! It's in the gene's to be nice.
Cheers, and a happy Friday,

Be careful what you wish for. Don't be surprised if that 'favorite' developer of yours tomorrow decides to discontinue its product [and] refuses to continue support.
That is every devs choice. You seriously can not think that any consumer would take kindly to being idly threatened like that. It isn't our responsibility to make sure that any dev can feed him/herself. There is always Rotten Ronnie's or Wally-Mart greeter openings.
With all due respect, Jazz

Check that your addon is at the top of the scenery list. That should force it to over ride the default scenery underneath. Also, look for other duplicate afcads for KMSP. Especially if you are using MyT6, or Orbx scenery.

It wasn't my intention, Patco LCH. It was meant to be tongue in cheek, but I see now that I should have added the emoji.
Nobody knows if you and Chock are friends, and you were just toying with him, or if you were being serious. I took it as you being funny.
I could have been wrong. It wouldn't be the first time. My apologies.

Or did he??? Always consider the source.

My last suggestion would be to temporarily disable the Orbx libraries. They are not really necessary when flying tubeliners.

Isn't there a setting in the Addon Manager for changing the distance that the airport will draw in?
Try setting it to draw the airport a little further out, as a way of spreading out the number of things loading in to the sim on short final. I remember having to do this with FSDT'S CYVR, in the Orbx PNW area.

Which assignment did you choose in FSUIPC? Throttle or Throttle 1? You have to provide some information on what you have done, before anyone can point you in the right direction.

Dang! They were very lucky to get out of that one. That plane crumpled like paper.

DOH! I fell in to that one didn't!

P3dv4 from V2 update question.

Simply put, ROG or not, 2.4Ghz is not enough to run P3Dv4. Maybe if you plan to run the default scenery without using any of the new goodies that LM have added in to P3Dv4. By goodies, I mean the increased draw distance of autogen buildings, and trees, cloud shadows, reflections, etc. The settings in v2 do not translate directly over to v4. Meaning, a setting of very dense in v2 will approximately equate to a setting of normal in v4. Your best bet is to try it out for the 60 days, see for yourself.
