  1. Koukamanga, Thanks for the link, I tried installing from the direct file and still have issues. It seems the problem has to do with my computer account user name having a space in it. I tried renaming my account without the space and still not working. When I try to install using the GTN Xi file it tries to install in a path that does not exist. My user account is my name Scott Gist and the exe tries to install to user account path but instead of /User/Scott Gist/... it tries to install in /User/The Gist/.... and there does not seem to be a way to direct the install to the correct pay. Just get a new error message : Installation Failed. Failed to install the GTN Xi v(20.42) Trainer. See details below. The Gist\AppData\Temp\67670d90-99d4-4f4d-8c81-999d2d294b02.gtim file does not exist.
  2. Having the same issue here. Maybe a server issue on Garmin's end? Never had issues with this in the past. Built a new PC and have to reinstall all the TDS software.
  3. Ok, I know there are a few threads running on the OOM problems with the t7, but I am struggling. The problems are mostly terminology, and lack of knowledge. The lack of knowledge is not do to not trying. I have read everything currently posted on the issue and I am just puzzled as to if I am inturpeting the terminology correctly. So I am going to ask a few "stupid" questions. I would like some constructive answers so those of us who are not FSX experts can try and solve the issue if we are expericancing it. I have never had an OOM problem, ever. Now with the T7 its every flight. As I read through the threads I see people using "Process Explorer" to monitor it. I have never used this software. I installed it and found FSX.exe listed. I clicked on it and it gave me an FSX properties window. I assume the proformance graph is the place to watch memory useage? Is this correct? If so, my T7 starts having issues at right around 3.1-3.2, and OOM crash at 3.3. Is this normal? Attached is screenshot at OOM crash. Another question is the warning sounds I hear. At 3.1-3.2 I start hearing a windows type chime. It appears to be a OOM warning. It always happens before the crash. Is this FSUIPC giving this warning? I also see a lot of talk about RAAS? What is this? I also see talk of LOD? what is LOD? Sorry for all the questions, but I want to get a good grip on what is going on before I change anything. I have been flying the PMDG 737NGX from day one with no issues. I want to tackle this OOM issue so I can enjoy the T7. I can't get a flight done with the OOM issue. I know the first question from you guys. What are my system specs. Here they are. I hope for some constructive answers. I know there are more out there with the same questions who may just not want to look like a noob asking them. 5. Yes, three GPU's one image at 5760x1080 so SLI. Scott Gist
  6. Actually I am using SLI for the triple sreen function. SLI has the ability to provide mutiple GPU to single monitor or Multi-monitor from multi-GPU. In my case each card is powering one monitor.
  7. I hate to get into this argument because it seems piontless, but I support the fact that higher resolutions need and require mutiple GPU's. I run a three monitor setup with resolution of 5720x1080 using three Gigabyte SOC 470 video cards. Runs fine here and I dont see any way to achieve this with out at least two cards. FPS with NGS avarage 30+ at this resolution. In single monitor SLI configuration I achieved not FPS benifit from the three cards. My system also has good CPU processing power with Sandybridge 2700K overclocked to 5.0Ghz. I now the use of this CPU contributed to my system performance. My single monitor performance on one card is 50-60 FPS. Hope this helps. I think I have tried almost every card/cpu configuration, and the CPU made the biggest improvement.
  8. Cool, will give it a shot. Thx
  9. Hey guys, I tryed the EZCA config tool and every time I run it I get unable to write error for the PMDG cfg file. Any ideas?
  10. Go for both, learn the NGX with FSX and get a jump on flying the Navy's C-40. Not as glamorous as and F/A-18 or anything, but trust me C-40 crews are much appreciated.
  11. OK, fellow FSX multi-monitor junkies. I give up, I cannot figure out how to get the results I am looking for so I hope someone here can help. I have five monitors hooked to three video cards. One monitor is just on a PCI card for instrumentation only and is working as I want it to. The problem is the other four that are all horizontally aligned. I have seen video on Youtube where aviators with these types of set ups are able to control the pan in the virtual cockpit on all the displays at once. I don’t know if there is software other than FSX and video card manufacturer involved. I want this ability. Currently I have to start a fight, and open three additional windows move to the three other than primary displays and resized and adjust angle/zoon to get a decent view. I feel like I am missing something. Here is the current system setup and any help would be greatly appreciated.Gigabyte X58 Motherboard12Gb DDR3 triple channel ramCore i7 920 overclocked to 3.02 Mhz (water cooled)Two Gigabyte SOC GTX 470 GPU’s not in SLI configurationOne Nvidia GT480 (PCI)1100w power supplyFSX running on OCZ solid state drive If you need more info, please ask. I am looking for any help I can get. Thanks in advance. J
