About 5.0 hours in to a KSEA EHAM flight with the PMDG 777 I had a CTD and got the following error.

Hello Randy, Are you asking how to Install FSX Steam ?
(4) Highlight FSX and Click Install, you will be given a Choice of Location to Install too.
Thats it really
I hope that's what you were asking
Do you install it to Program File 86 or would you recommend a separate folder like you do for FSX FS9?
-
I have built a new PC.
I need to know the procedure on how to reinstall my previous download on the new system.
My new specs.
Intel I7-6700 4.0 CPU
16GB DDR4 Ram
Asus Z170-P MOBO
EVGA 970GTX GPU
Thanks
Randy

Is this Xplane?

Signs that a new sim is on the way. Devs want to make as much money from what is soon to be obsolete products before that launch. It isn't only for FSX, P3D is experiencing the same phenomenon.
You mean we will have to start all over AGAIN.
-
I liken FSXcenery to Blueprint Simulation. But much much better than what MS produced.
-
Looks good - but why not stay on Win 7, like many of us here?
Bert. Maybe I will just do that.

It is time to move past my AMD days. My current specs are below.
I have decided I want a better FSX SE and P3D experience, my current system will let me fly somewhat smooth with PMDG and 3rd party scenery at the cost of detail and any ability to add on clouds, traffic and other add on products. I just cant enjoy most of what these platforms provide.
So here is what I am building
Asus Z170-P MOBO
8GB Crucial Ballistix Sport LT 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR4
Cooler Master,212 EVO CPU Cooler
1TB Seagate HD 7200rpm 64MB
Windows 7 64Bit.....................................Will upgrade to Windows 10 before the end of July.
AND........ Intel I7 6400K 4.0 GHZ CPU
this will be matched up with my EVGA 970 GTX I currently own.
What do you think

When I open this file up its path is for FSX. When I attempt to change the path to my P3D I get both Hi and Low Res checked and cannot uncheck the High Res.
Is there a file update to correct this?
Thanks
Randy

Nice unit you have there.
I would need to divorce to have a sim in my home. What do you use for a screen.
-
Think I had put PMDG VC textures through NGXPerfMan to 'low resolution' (tad blurry)
well, did it again, perhaps not the right path previous time
P3D options lighting shadows and graphics now back to high
FPS from ~18 to 45-55
waddayaknow
Sent you a PM.

So this past week I decided that it was time to try my hand at P3D. I went on LM website and downloaded the latest V3.
I installed it and started to see how well tuned I could get this. I started to add in my 3rd party scenery's and with the P3D Kingair was getting 40+ FPS on taxi and T/O. I then went to add MYTraffic6 and my FPS dropped to 35 SO I spent a wad of $$ and downloded the PMDG 737NGX and my FPS and smoothness dropped to 12 to 17 FPS. However if I let the sim sit for 2-3 minutes it will increase to 19-21 which almost makes it a smooth TO.
My system specs are below. I have tried to OC my 970 GPU to no increase. I don;t think it will do any good to OC my CPU. My traffic settings are at 20%
The rest of my settings are set at an average of 30%. I have used Nvidia inspector as well. If you know of any NI setting let me know.
My FSX Steam does better than P3D. I read 100's of threads saying P3d was far more superior than MS FSX. The 130.00 I invested would have gone a long way to building an I7 6700 system.
Any thoughts
Thanks

Since there is no profile for Prepar3d in Nvidia Inspector, what is the step by step process for linking it to the FSX NI profile.
And does anyone have a screenshot of NI settings that are sweet they want to share?
Thanks
Randy

Anyone have the link to the download?
-
Just saw this developer. Are they any good? Are the models and flows accurate. Are they better than Aerosoft?

Nice GAIN. Love to see a Youtube of your machine at work.
What MOBO did you use and RAM.
I have a GTX970 and running AMD and am seriously considering a new build later this year.
-
How do you point NI to FSX-SE version?
Please post procdure.
Thanks

Just uninstall the tool if you want to return to stock. Why are you unhappy with the results?
It did not produce more FPS nor more smoothness. Also I could not move my sliders to the right for better performance.
-
The last 2 flights I have flown my NGX after it gets to TOC it pauses every 5-7 minutes and the screensaver activates. The flight does keep moving behind the screensaver.
My screen saver is set to activate after 10 minutes of inactivity.
Any suggestions, this is annoying.
Thanks

I have Win 7 installed and everything is wonderful, I am being badgered 2x daily to upgrade to the FREE Win 10.
I have read in other websites that I should not so I thought I would ask those who are true FSimmers what issues thy have had or improvements in performance.
Tell me what you know.

I have a EVGA 970GTX GPU.
I downloaded the EVGA overclock tool and played with it but am unhappy with the results I am getting. I am trying to reset the settings back to the way the GPU came out of the box and it is not working using the overclock tool.
Which would work better to restore the original card settings?
1. Uninstall the Overclock Tool
2. Uninstall the drivers and install new ones?
Thanks

I have figured out how to get WOAI to work in P3D but the traffic is scarce regardless if I set the traffic at 100%
Are there any new schedules out there that reflect what is happening at our airports oday in the real world.
Thanks
Randy
