    Hello,

     

    I am considering shelling out 90 clams for the PMDG 777-200.

     

    The main PMDG products page has screenshots of the VC views but none of the panel in 2-D.

     

    Would someone be so kind to either point me in the right direction to see this or post a SS here in the forum.

     

    I would like to retire my Wilco 777 for FSX.

    If your system is for flightsim, you should have asked for advice here before getting your system.

     I am getting 22-27 fps with the Iflyy 737and Taxi2Go KSEA scenery, fairly smooth as well.Santa is bringing a ne GPU.

    Ive got FSX running fairly smooth with my new desktop.

     

    Before I go Ape crazy with addon purchases for FSX can someone tell me why I should look to P3D?

     

    Are frame rates and smoothness better.

     

    Are terrain features better and better rendered and modeled.

     

    Are the default airports better than FSX

    OK... I just got my new system built

    I am perfectly smooth with no burps in FS9. So, I loaded my 8 year old copy of FSX and am getting 20-28FPS with IFly 737 and T2G KSEA scenery.

     

    So. Would I see better performance with P3D. I need to know what you all think before I get to much invested in FSX?

     

    Amd...What is Stream for FSX. Does it improve performance or a waste of hardrive space?

    GPU.... Nvidia EVGA 750Ti GTX

     

    Just got the card used and am trying to install it in to a new PC build with Windows 7.

     

    So the pc booted up to begin with after I got Win 7 installed, I went to restart it after installing the Network Card and it would not reboot back to W7. I took the card out and tried it with a different lesser power GPU and it rebooted several times.

     

    So back in with the 750...would not reboot. So I took out the CMOS battery and reset the jumpers and reinstalled it and it booted up just fine. I went to restart it and would not restart.

     

    The drivers are the 358s.

     

    Anyone have a thought as to wht is going on or what I can do?

    Cannot find the once pinned topic on the procedure to install FS9/FSX on Windows 7.

     

    There was a special process and all I can remember was you created a MSFS folder outside of the Programs Folder. There was something you had to do in the Admin settings.

     

    I have search the Avsim world over and over. I am building a new machine right now and will stay with Win 7 and not Windows 10 for this machine unless someone can convince me otherwise. just waiting on the last two pieces in the mail today.

    You cant update xp to windows 10 without paying 110$ from what I just read - so you should be fine using xp but why

     

     

    Right now its called a budget. If I were to upgradeXP to Win10 at a later date will I need to reformat my HD and reinstall my FS software or will it install without an issue over top?  Thanks for your help.

    Sounds like you have more than one active AFCAD for the scenery.

     

    ScanAFD.exe or ACA2005 v1.6.6 can scan your folders for you. You can download them from the library.

     

    Beware...  these programs may well tell you you have lots of duplicates, but often these are false positives, especially if they are all in the same payware product folder.

     

     

    Can not locate the ScanAFDexe file.....

    Why R The Airplanes Not parked properly at the gates.. they either are parked inside the terminal or parked way off center of the yellow line or parked backwards.

     

    I am using the AFCAD that came with the scenery and have tried third party AFCAD found in the Avsim library.

     

    What can I do to clean this issue up.

    What's your max budget?

     

    I'm about to build a mini ITX system for my daughter, based on the Intel 6600k, you'd be surprised how cheap. But it will be powerful.

     

     

    $400

     

    I have found everything listed NEW on Ebay except for the GPU and HD for less than$250. When I put INTEL in to the picture the price tag goes up to $600+ quickly that is prohibitive right now and for the foreseeable future . I am tired of sharing the desktop with the wife and want something that is dedicated to just FS and internet connectivity,

     

    I am looking for a performance boost over what my current system is. Currently my FS9 FPS are set at 30 and am smooth with Ifly 737/747 and FSDreamteam scenery with sliders to the right. My FSX experience is limited to 16FPS with default scenery with sliders in the middle.
