  1. Hi jd,I think I know a way to have this feature implemented to everyone's satisfaction* As soon as RC can read arrival's weather, it should do so. Preferably it should happen before TOD, so about 200 nm out* If visibility at the airport is below a specified value (this may or may not be configurable), RC informs the captain about the current visibility, and presents a choice to proceed with the planned arrival, or divert to one of the alternates* In a perfect world, it should also be possible to check weather for each alternate before making the decision, but I don't know if it's possible* If visibility is below a specified value, visual approach option should not be available (or visual approach requests should be denied)This scenario would allow those who want to approach on ILS and auto-land to do so regardless of weather, and those who want to approach visually not to spend time trying to do so when it's impossible. As far as I know, it's also close enough to real-world procedures (although I'm not an expert here)As for declining take-off requests, I don't think it would be reasonable to have them: if a user started FS and loaded RC, he would be very frustrated not to get a take-off clearance. This might also be included as an information, provided by clearance delivery or ground, about airport visibility, and a suggestion not to take-off. But in any case, the user should make this decisionI think it would be nice to have this feature implemented, if possibleThanksYuri
  2. Thanks for explaining! Yes, I noticed I rarely have a conflict with an AI plane when flying with RC (and I almost never fly with it :) ). So I'll ignore TCAS warnings, knowing that RC will take care of potential conflicts :)
  3. Hi,Probably a stupid question, but still... :) What's the correct reaction to traffic advisories? For example, there's an AI plane on the reciprocal course, RC issues an advisory when it's 13-15 nm away from me, I check my TCAS and see that a risk of collision is present. What should I do next? Request higher/lower from RC, climb/descend to avoid a collision without telling RC, turn left/right to avoid collision? If I should request higher/lower, what should I do if RC denies the request? It will probably clear us in 2 minutes, but when there are 13 nm between the planes, we can't wait 2 minutes :)ThanksYuri
  4. Hi,Don't know if it helps, but I had a similar problem with the push/pull knob on PMDG 737-800. When I pressed the knob to switch to standard pressure, altimeter didn't show correct altitude. I use FlightSim Commander, and its GPS window also showed altitude different from the plane's altimeter. So now I set the pressure manually every time, and the problem doesn't appear. This may be not the best solution, but at least it works :)CheersYuri
  5. Hi,Sorry for posting this so late, it happened so that I started to use RC only about a week agoHope there is a chance to submit some callsigns for addition yetI didn't see one of the biggest Russian airlines in the list, did I miss it? If it indeed isn't there, could it be added please?Transaero AirlinesCallsign (as far as I know): Transoviethttp://www.transaero.ruAlso we have a small but very active low-cost carrier, it would be great if it could be added tooSkyExpressCallsign: Skystormhttp://www.skyexpress.ruLike many others, I can't imagine flying without Radar Contact anymore, and I'd like to thank you very much for your outstanding programBest regardsYuri
