  1. For assigning the button, in principle, that makes sense, however in that case, only the first press of the button will perform the assigned function in the simulator. After that, pressing the button doesn't work anymore because the button is now recognized as TURN_RIGHT/LEFT. I worked around the problem by duplicating all my assignments and assigning the first press (CLICK) and second press (TURN_RIGHT/LEFT) to the same action. Just wondering if there is a more clever solution that I missed?
  2. Ah, when I changed the WebAPI port, i didn't have the sim running, therefore the light wasn't turning green. I now launched the sim and the webapi is connected. I'm trying to set the rotary knob and click button to some functions, however something peculiar is happening. It seems that the first time I turn the knob or push the button, AAO registers a click (CHN: 0 EVT: 1 CLICK), and then the second time a turn (CHN: 0 EVT: 1 TURN_RIGHT). For the rotarys it differentiates on the second turn by right and left, but even pushing the button first triggers "click", then the second time "turn_right". In the SIM, this translates to having to push the button twice before the action is executed. Can I circumvent this?
  3. Hi and thank you, indeed the entry in AAO Web API Dialogue is now not red anymore. However, in the Knobster bridge software, the light still won't turn green. It says Knobster #0 Channel A, but the green light is off. Something wrong with the connection? When I only use air manager, the knobster works fine.
  4. Hi, I downloaded the knobster plugin to connect my knobster to AAO. When starting up the bridge, Knobster #0 is immediately recognized, channel A selected, but the light doesn't turn green? In AAO itself, I checked the WebAPI window and the bridge entry is shown as red. I glanced over the documentation but couldn't find anything about the knobster bridge. The knobster is an authentic siminnovations part. Am I missing something in the installation?
  5. In order not to create a new Topic, I'm just going to hijack this old topic, since there was no answer delivered to the problem: I too can't create user waypoints - I go to the user waypoint page, enter the desired name, and press enter, but upon pressing enter, nothing happens... The other functions of the G1000 work fine... Any suggestions? What did work, was to create a user waypoint using the cursor on the moving map of the MFD, then editing that user waypoint to match the LONG/LAT or PLACE/BEARING/DISTANCE of the waypoint you actually wanted to create in the first place. It's a good workaround, but I guess not the way it's supposed to be?
  6. *forgot to mention: -I'd like to change the Flight Director to the crosshairs mode
  7. Hi, is there a Mindstar specific handbook for the G1000? I am aware of the official GARMIN version, however the Mindstar edition works differently or seems to be missing a few features: - I would like to change the fuel unit from GAL to liters, but can't access that data on the AUX page - Change fields in the FPL window, so as to show cumulative waypoint ETE/ETA Are those options not available or am I just missing the right clicks? Best regards
  8. Thanks for the info, then I know I haven't done anything wrong at the install.
  9. Hello, I intend to use the Mindstar G1000 as preparation for my Instrument Rating, so my expectations to realism are quite high. One thing I noticed today after purchasing and installing the RealNavData Update is that the airspaces still have the same layout as in FSX Default (using the Baron B58 profile). In the RealNav FAQ it states however: Can you confirm this is a Bug/Feature/can't be changed, or have I made a mistake loading the current NavData? Waypoints and procedures do indeed seem to be all there and up to date. Best Regards
  10. i actually have exactly the same issue, with any ac type i use, eg. the f1 pc12 or the new qw146... AAny help would be appreciated since it seems this issue hasnt been adressed before
  11. Hello everybody, you might have notice the following: the carenado Archer II does not have any rudder trim, however the real plane does. This:is where you would usually trim the rudder, using the knob circled in red. I suppose none of you have gotten that to work, have you? Maybe I just did something wrong...
  12. Hey,does the autopilot actually work in combination with the RXP GNS430? I mean, is there a switch to go from NAV to GPS mode like in the standard airplanes, that enables the F33 AP to follow the flightplan entered in the GNS via NAV Hold mode?
