  1. Hey, PMDG uses their own module to activate passenger/cargo doors in Flight Simulator. To take a look at what these keyboard combinations are, you'll have to fire up the simulator and the aircraft at an airport of your choice - run your mouse to 'PMDG' tab on the menu bar and then get in to 'controls'. You can change the combinations to whatever you find comfortable. As for their operation, yes, they do depend on APU power. Some can be worked on by ground power but some will require APU power to function. More details on that can be found in the manual.Happy flying :)Cheers,Karan
  2. Hey Bryan,It's finally working! :) Flight Simulator hadn't been working properly and was causing compatibility problems for FS2Crew. A fresh install of flight simulator and all my addons took ages but at least I got FS2Crew to work. Thank you so much for all your help mate.Cheers,Karan
  3. Great shots! Would love to see more :)Cheers,Karan
  4. Interesting. Any chance you could throw the authors website link here ? Would love to give it a go! Cheers,Karan
  5. Hey Bryan,Looks like all this head scratching wasn't needed after all. Turns out that Flight Simulator [sigh!] itself has been putting up with a faulty audio.dll file that was making in-game sounds go through some trouble as well. Looks like I'll have to give it a fresh install and that should fix the problems I'm having with FS2Crew as well :)Will get back to you soon Cheers,Karan
  6. Hi Bryan,Like you suggested, I did try 'End-It-All' and shut down anything that looked even remotely connected with the issue but I still get the black screen and an eventual crash of the flight simulator. However, on searching for FS2Audio errors, I was redirected back to this website where someone else was experiencing errors with the file but with a different software. Going to try and update my DirectX9 and see if that is what is causing problems. Should get back to you soon. Cheers,KaranAnd that did not work either. Same old non responsive and then CTD
  7. FS2Crew is up to date according to the configuration manager. I currently have the PMDG 747 Voice Commander Edition.Strange that the 'button edition' worked beautifully but this is causing problems. Nothing to my knowledge is trying to strip DRM rights from music. With the 'button edition' everything was running perfectly without the need to use any 3rd party softwares to end un-necessary programs mostly because there aren't any useless softwares or applications running in the background.Guess I'll just have to make the most of FS2Crew with the 'button edition' until a sure shot solution comes up. Thanks for all your help Bryan :)Cheers,Karan
  8. Hey Bryan,Yes I have done a re-install and I always run Flight Simulator in windowed mode. As for event viewer, this is what I could gain out of it :Faulting application name: fs9.exe, version: 9.1.0.40901, time stamp: 0x4135a208Faulting module name: FS2AUDIO.dll, version: 0.0.0.0, time stamp: 0x4bb01ad3Exception code: 0xc0000005Fault offset: 0x0004e130Faulting process id: 0xc50Faulting application start time: 0x01cbfb5ccebc2bc5Faulting application path: D:\Microsoft Games\Flight Simulator 9\fs9.exeFaulting module path: C:\Windows\system32\FS2AUDIO.dllReport Id: abe31599-6750-11e0-8f22-6cf049513aa5Looks like it is the audio engine causing problems.Let me know if you need anything else.Cheers,Karan
  9. Hi Bryan,My bad mate, I was checking the 'aircraft.cfg' file for any additional entries. Kinda feel stupid now. Hehe. Anyways, yes the correct entries have been made to the 'panel.cfg' of the 747 and I have just re-installed FS2Crew all the way till the dialog that says it has successfully installed. The speech recognition settings are set to the U.S one (specifically Microsoft Speech Recognizer 8.0 for Windows English - US) and 'Run speech recognition at start up' is UNCHECKED and once again on clicking the compass, the complete screen turns black and after a few seconds 'fs9 crash'! I'm on Windows 7 Ultimate x64I'm down to almost taking off the last bit of hair on my head ! Haha. The panel entries seem to be okay as I am able to click on the compass but as soon as I do, 'kaboom!'I have done everything the manual has asked me to manually set but to no avail so far. Guess this has got you thinking too ;)Cheers,Karan
  10. Anytime mate :)You know where to post your questions and who to look for ;)Glad I could be of some help to you. CheersKaran
  11. Are you on a 64 bit system ? If so, the black screens can easily be resolved. PMDG installers are configured to operate on 32 bit systems, hence your registration key only locks itself into the registry editor of the 32 bit system. You will need to manually import the registration key into your 64 bit system registry editor. You can find the 64 bit editor here : C: > Windows > SysWOW64Once you have imported the key here, fire up flight simulator and choose your favorite PMDG variant and enjoy your flight :)Hope this helps. Cheers,Karan
  12. Hey guys!Extremely happy with FS2Crew, I recently decided on getting the Voice edition for PMDG 747 as well. Installed fine and I performed the necessary 'clicks' in the configuration manager to make sure the aircraft.cfg is replaced and the keyboard assignments are keyed in as well. However, clicking on the 'compass' in 2D view, FS2Crew (presuming) stops responding, gives me a black screen and finally Flight Simulator 2004 crashes to the desktop. A little digging around revealed that FS2Crew config manager did not input any entries into the aircrafts cfg file and not knowing what those entries are exactly, I did not mess around and let Windows uninstall the software till I find a solution. The button edition worked perfectly with 747 but voice edition seems to be taking up a few more resources, all for nothing, apparently. Any idea what I'm doing wrong ? BIG thank you for your effortsCheers,Karan
  13. HiSomething strange has been happening to my 747-400 Queen of the skies lately. All else seems to be working fine, but as soon as I start my flight with the aircraft on the ground, my wing lights by default keep flickering when I switch them off. On taxying, the taxi lights flicker and once I switch on my landing lights, the same flickering starts. Anyone experiencing the same problem? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciatedHappy flying :)krazyk
  14. Thank you both! Although PMDG only suggests to reduce the resolution, I will go with the suggestion of stretching the FMC. I do use a wide screen monitor with a resolution of 1920x1080. Will try it and let you guys know.Edit : It worked by resizing the FMC. Thank you once again
  15. Hi.I just re-installed the 737NG for FS2004 and as excited as I was after being treated to the eye candy of the 737, I decided to program the FMC for a small flight from OMDB-OBBI. Getting to the 'Perf Init' page, I had to set up numbers regarding my cruise level, cost index, zfm, etc but on pressing a certain key number, the number that displayed on the scratch pad was entirely different. For example, my ZFM for the flight was 146.79 (approx)I got around selecting 1 4 and 6 but selecting 7 and 9 was not possible as when I click on the lower end numbers on the FMC, they input the numbers located higher. Pressing 7 for example, sets in 4 in my scratch pad. I hope this was a simple yet detailed enough explanation of what problem I have exactly. I'm sure some others who use this model had the same problem so I'm look for genuine advise on this! I apologize for re starting this topic if it's already been discussed before. A direct link to any other topic containing this problem can be posted.Thank you all in advance, fellow flight enthusiast krazyk :)
