  1. Bernard,Thanks for your reply but I know about that and can get the MD-11 to show up in FSX, however, what I don't know is what folder the MD-11 livery resides in such as 'Program Files\Microsoft games\ FSX\ aircraft.....I can't physically locate it on my C:\ drive.jen noulet
  2. I downloaded the MD-11 livery from the PMDG site and can't seem to find it in my computer. I thought it would be located in Program Files\ Microsoft Games\ PMDG\ Aircraft but it isn't there. Can anybody shed some light on this for me?jen noulet
  3. So, what you are recommending is that for my FSX to work more fluidly I should remove FSX and the MD-11 from my Program Files X86, and re-install to C:\ FSX or C:\ Games\FSX... Is that correct?jen noulet
  4. When I downloaded the MD-11, I had to place it in the Program Files X86 slot and I assume that I could not load the software into the X64 slot. Is this correct? Also, when the 737 NGX comes out, will it automatically search out the Program Files X64 slot and put it there instead of the X86 (32-bit) slot? I don't really understand the difference between the X86 versus the plain 64-bit program files. jen noulet
  5. Yes it is an ati 5770 graphics card. I would have liked to have gotten a nvidia card but the dell xps 9100 came standard with the ati card....:(Thanks for your inputs.Regards, jack noulet
  6. I seem to be having a problem with viewing some of the letters on the FMC. When I have inserted the waypoints into the FMC, some of the text letters are partially visible. For instance, the waypoint CULVER will look like CUlVER with part of the "L" missing or blotted out. Any ideas as to what may be going on here?jack noulet
  7. Here's a video of how they put together a 737 NG S.W. airliner. Interesting material as we wait on ours. Regards, jack noulethttp://www.youtube.com/watch_popup?v=zKnsyYbfC60&f

  15. Would someone please help me with my rudder settings in FSX. I can't seem to get them to work properly. What I would like to see are the settings that you must have in the 'Buttons/Keys" and the "Control Axis" settings. In the control axis section I'm showing aileron axis as axis 01 and elevator axis as axis 02 and rudder axis as axis 03. What should my settings be in both the 'buttons/keys' section and also what settings should they be in the 'Control Axis' area? I guess what I need is a guide on how to do both the rudders and the yoke. Can anyone help me in this regard?jen
  16. What if you have a Radeon 5770 graphics card? I saw only nvidia cards listed....jen noullet
  17. My old computer crashed and I bought a Dell 9100 XPS but it has a radeon 5700 graphics card. Can anyone give me any pointers/settings to increase the performance of this card when using FSX. I mainly fly PMDG related software and I don't know any of the settings in MSFS FSX to use. I used to have a 6600 quad core with a nvidea 8800GT and it was great. Any ideas would be most welcome!!jen

  20. Does anyone know what service pack I need to run FSX in Windows 7? I just got a new computer with Win7 on it and I downloaded it to Program Files (x86). I can't get my Aerosoft dvd of the MD-11 to install on my new Win7 computer. I get the following msg: "FSX Version 10.0.61355.0 (Sp1 at least required). You only have FSX Version 10.0.60905.0 installed. Please install FSX Sp1 or later to use this product."Any ideas on what I should do to get this product to install in my Win7 computer?Oh, one other question I have: Why do I have 2 Program Files in my C:/ drive? The first one reads: Program Files. The second one reads: Program Files (x86). This is where my Microsoft FSX file is located. Does this mean anything? Thanks, jen
  21. I was told by dell support that win7 service pack 1 would solve most of my problems. It was just now released from beta in Oct 2010.....I hope this works.Regards, jack noulet
