  1. Jim,I do not have an 'AffinityMask=' line in my fsx.cfg file. Should I add: AffinityMask=14 to the last line in my cfg file or what?jen noulet
  2. I also give a thumbs up to both questions. Yes & Yes...I've got a little over 10 hours in the 737NG-700 full motion sim. and mostly fly it manually. That included an engine-out takeoff and landing with a 900 ft ceiling.. without the use of the autopilot. So, it can be done. Will have another 2 to 3 hours scheduled this summer. :( Can't wait.jen noulet
  3. I have watched several training videos and have been wandering how it is possible to have a direct middle view of the overhead panel without the 'angled-view' you get when your in the virtual mode and use the spacebar and mouse to scroll up to it. Some of the video's have the overhead panel in a 'centered-style-head-on' view with a sizable amount of clarity. I know about the 'shift-6key' but that view is rather dark and almost blurry to see. Is there something I am missing in my original set-up. I did not experience any of this in my MD-11.Regards,jen noulet
  4. When can I expect to receive my CD copy of the 737NGX. I purchased and downloaded the "Backup CD Service: PMDG 737NGX (Base Package)" on January 10th? Has anybody received their copy if you so ordered this item and if so, how long did you have to wait in order to receive your CD?Regards, jen noulet
  5. I ordered and downloaded the PMDG 737 NGX on January 10th of this year and was wondering if anybody knows when I will be receiving my PRODUCT Backup CD Service: PMDG 737NGX (Base Package)PRICED at $14.95?? 8. Just purchased the NGX a week or so ago and I'm wandering if there is a 2nd tutorial and if so, where can I download it at. I did not see one on the PMDG downloads site. Just wandering at this point.Regards, jen noulet
  9. Paul,What yoke/joystick are you currently using? And would this setting work on my PFC yoke?Regards, jenSptg, S.C.
  10. Another way to make sure the aircraft is in trim when engaging the 'autopilot' is to follow the F/D (Flight Director) and make sure it has the cross-hair centered and you are not actively trimming the aircraft via the trim wheel or yoke inputs.Regards, jen noulet
  11. Mr. Ken, ^_^Thank you very much for your input to solving what seemed to be an never-ending issue with the 'Livery Manager'. I right-clicked on the livery mgr and selected 'run as admin' and it worked.Regards, jen noulet
  12. Oh...Ok, Thanks for the heads-up on this one.Regards, jen noulet
  13. While we are on this topic, what increase or benefits does one realize by placing the NGX in the C:FSX directory as opposed to the default directory?Regards, jen noulet
  14. Still trying to figure out why I can't download my 737NGX American AIrlines or the Delta -800WL to my computer. I have a question: Was the Aircraft folder in FSX replaced by the SimObjects folder. The reason I'm asking is that I no longer have an Aircraft folder. My string reads: AppData>Roaming>Microsoft>FSX>SimObjects. Can anyone help me with this one?Regards, jen noulet
  15. Yes, I looked in my User Accounts section in Wins7 and I am indeed running my computer as 'Administrator'..Regards,jen noulet
  16. Thanks Ken. It worked.Regards, jen noulet
  17. I still have a few days until my URL expires and was wandering how one goes about saving the download onto a CD for future installation on a newer computer that I will possibly be purchasing in the very near future?Regards, jen noulet
  18. Where would I look to see if I'm running the livery manager as 'Admin' ? jen noulet
  19. Is it possible to have the NGX in 2 different directories. My downloaded version is in the default directory of C:\program files (86)\Microsoft Games\ etc. etc. Can I also download it into C:|FSX directory as it states in the PMDG Introduction section of the software download. I just discovered this directory after reading it in the download but the software was already positioned in the default directory.Regards, jen noulet
  20. Very interesting thing I discovered when reviewing 2D comments on the forum concerning the outside view being too close. Upon inspection of my FSXsimobjectsairplanespmdg737-800 NGXpanel...........I discovered I don't have an 'Airplanes' section in this FSX folder.....Could this be the problem and if so, the download that PMDG sent to me is possibly suspect....Anybody care to comment? I still have 5 days left to download the software again per the PMDG website....Also, if I do download, should I download it to C:FSX directory instead of the default and will this make a major difference? Regards, jen noulet
  21. I thought about what you just mentioned and downloaded the Delta 800 WL and got the same results. I have never experienced problems like this with my MD-11. I'm just wandering if anybody else has any ideas before I revert to the ole' PMDG ticket scenerio as this has obviously become a very perplexing problem to me. Anymore ideas out there?? :Idea:Regards, jen noulet
  22. I've had big problems trying to download the American airlines 737-800WL and get it to populate in the Installed Liveries block section of the PMDG Livery Manager which has the various PMDG default 737's in it. My downloaded ptp file of the American Airlines is already located in my documents file in WIndows7 as being there. When I go into the PMDG Livery Manager and click on "Select Livery to Install", I get the following action: "Extracting equipment_decal.dds..." and then the screen goes from readable to a faded background and after a few minutes it spits out the following message: "PMDG Livery_Manager.exe has stopped working. A problem caused the progtram to stop working correctly. Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available." I never got a solution to the problem and have tried this process several times and haven't succeeded. I also tried turning off my McAfee security and still haven't got it to download into the PMDG Installed Liveries block in their Livery Manager.Does anybody know wherein my problem lies?? :Thinking:Regards, jen noulet
  23. Oh no!!....Let me explain what I just did first. The PMDG_7437NGX_800WL_AA.ptp is located in: My computer>OS(C:)>Public>Public Documents>My Projects It is PTP File and is 18707 KBI right clicked on it and got the following options: Open, Scan, Share with, WInZip, Restore previous versions, Send to:, Cut, Copy, Create shortcut, Delete, Rename, & PropertiesThere was no 'Extract all' option to click. I'm I missing a piece of the puzzle....Probably my brain!! I'm totally lost on this one. Any more ideas? Sorry once again.Regards, jen noulet
  24. Thank you Marty and Dan for your help. Much appreciated. :( Regards, jen noulet
  25. Gents,Please excuse my ignorance about utilizing WinZip. I just recently purchased a version of Winzip which was version 16...I believe... and I'm not too familiar on how to use it. But let me start out from the beginning: I initially went to the PMDG site and wanted to download the American airlines 800 with winglets and was prompted to either open or save the file. Can somebody tell me what I should do in simple stages as this is totally new to me.Should I open or save it etc. etc. Sorry for my lack of understanding this process.Regards again, jen noulet
