i purchased my aircraft from xplane org aerobask i watched a short video and it clearly shows a weather pattern the supplied man.has a lot of information on the storm warning facility and screen shots of the cockpit also show it on my query is is it real or eye candy either way it does not work for me at the moment frank cann

Have installed the twin star i have no complaints it is a fine a/craft, however i cannot determine if storm warning is factual or simulated the video shows it working my screen is blank i use xplane downloaded weather and i have skymax installed frank cann

high I am aware this problem is an ongoing one ,having just converted to windows 10 I have just ran into it, too make sure what is required to enable voice control can it be pointed out which setting needs changing, the text to speech is set english u/s speech recognizer is engliish uk must this setting be english u/s also.if so, is there a easy way for a computer illiterate to do it . frank cann

many thanks problem sorted very new to windows 10 still on the learning curve found the op centre discovered the start menue i have had no problems with windows 10 and fsx \very reluctant to leave win7 but happy with the change regards frank cann

due to hardware failure I upgraded my rig changed o/s system to windows 10 prof. installed my backed up copy of 737ng activated ok. discovered it was an old version visited pmdg site and down loaded the d version however I do not think it is because its showing the old delivery manager rather puzzled any help welcomed. frank cann

I think my problem lies in my registry. there is still an entry for the last install . i cannot remove it because quote it needs removal by an online source which is not available unquote this may refer to the key code which is installed on set up i dont even get that option, i have tried a cleaner but it wont delete . i suppose i could change my os to windows 10 have a happy christmas best regards frank cann

according to the docs a menu will appear on install with options tree colour paths etc.; but it does not get to this stage the install crashes half way through with the error notice as mentioned as i cannot browse and change any paths could i assume it is directed to C . It seems as if a section of my disc is not being loaded hence my thought that it s an activation problem, as you have it installed can you remember the sequence sorry to be a pain i am two steps away from using it as a christmas decoration cheers frank cann

my vfr scenery is showing in the scenery library 13-21 When i loaded the scenery the default path was C but as they are rather large amounts that was changed to where my f/s was installed as i am in no position to point out this path would it be trying to load into C the default path if so i would have to reload vfr scenery again in C do you think this is a possibility ? regards f cann

Thank you for the interest,you could be right regarding the activation, it does begin the install process but half way through an error notice appears it cannot apply transforms and i need to verify the path which i cannot do I have the boxed set three on one disc there is a key code in the box, according to instructions this key code is typed in on install i am not given that option its a shame because it is a very good addon many thanks f cann

I have had to reinstall fsx .. I find that my boxed copy of treescapes will not install i guess that it needs activating on line which of course is not possible, there seems to be a renewed interest in earth simulations judging by recent mail , however my boxed copy of guernsey installed with no problems, I dont want to bin it because it cost nearly £100. any help will be welcome frank cann

Pete , many thanks for the ILS info. i read what i thought was the latest info on egcc,online, i must have missed this, iam using the exstream version of egcc what a good addon it is,your answer has solved my problem compleatly frank cann

I use egcc as my home base I have jst populated it with ai traffic, by default the wind direction is set at 60 and so traffic is directed to 05L however all arrivals land on 05R this is not equiped with ILS, without stating the obvious, is there a way of changing the landing pattern of the ai aircraft from 05R to 05L many thanks for any suggestions. frank cann

can someone help me with a problem that could have started when i removed REX and then installed AS RD4V worked very well until i did what i did now when i start RC it wont load because a file mscomctl/ocx is not available what removed it and how can i get it ? many thanks if you can help FCANN

have just picked up on the sound problem because it is now happening to me , before i did a window restore fs2crew worked really well with RC4 and VOX installed, since reinstalling the sound problems mentioned in the posts are effecting my machine, quite by accident I found that by pressing the pause button i could communicate with copilot for a short while before it when dead again, at the moment flying with fs2crew is a definate NoNo, Having worked once withou trouble I cannot see how fs2crew can be the problem there must be a common factor, I sure would like to know what it is. f.cann

chrisrunning fsx has always been a compromise , between performance or eye candy hardware is catching up with it and so we get dragged along with it, pmdg have produced a very good product and it needs a good rig to do it full justice Just over a year ago i had the i7 920 fitted the frame rate was low and constantly crashed with over heating I upgraded to the i7 970along with a new gpu and m/b , Idont expect developers to dumb down to suit what i can afford i meet them more than half way I dont overclock, i us extreme airports ,with rex, aes, andfs2crew rc4 ,y frame rate is approx 20/25 on the ground flying its 50/60 and that is where most of the action takes place. i dont want to teach you how to suck eggs move the sliders to the left.Years ago capt sim produced the c130 for 2004 it was a frame killer i never did fly it f cann intel i7 970 @3.20GHz windows 7 64 bit 12. gb ram geforce gtx560 Ti GA-X58A-UD7 MB

looking at your computer spec i see you are running a ir 920 cpu my advice is ditch and fit at least an ir970 you will suprised with the result, expensive but worth it in the long run, it will also keep your blood pressure down regards frank cann

have just installed rd4 tried to install an existing flightplan compiled on fsc9 a white page comes up titled runtime error 713 MSSTDFMT.DLL NOT INSTALLED have tried microsoft no joy what doesit do and is it really required MY O/S is widows 7 64bit regards frank cann

have just purchased the 737 for fsx.Iam on a learning curve with the fmc so iam doing it by the manual, in the cdu preflight procedure pos init page1 there are a set of boxed prompts into which the irs is installed. these boxes are not visible in my fmc is this by default if not will it cause problems iam aware this could be classed as a customer support problem but perhaps one of the forum members could if it mattered. frank cann

Have just purchased the boxed version for fsx and installed it in a windows 7 64bit system i cannot get rid of the green crosses on the three panels i can start the engines using APU or external power however mcdu will not powerup and the green crosses remain in place there has been one post with this problem it seemed to have been unresolved what do the crosses signify? Iamthree days into a learning curve i could do without this problem so guys any suggestion gratefully recieved

thanks for the suuggestion it worked however using a combination of airports in the flight plans it seems whenever schipol a paid addon was the dep. or des. airport VOX would not load unfortunatley this was my first choice in my original flight plan, we have a name for that its called sods law extreeme frankfurt works very well regards
