Anyone tested the FSX / NGX combo in windows 8 preview?
I have been flying with Win 8 for a few days now and I have to say it is pretty flawless. Went from XP 32 to the latest Win 8 built with just a couple of tweaks. I added the "uiautomationcore.dll" and disabled the dynamicticking (something new in win 8) It does seem to be a bit faster and a bit more fluid than XP and haven't had any issues. Do keep in mind that when the final release comes out you may have to reinstall things as there will be no upgrade option from RC to Final version. Just as a side note... I am a mac user and I have to tell you that the new win UI (called metro) is the nicest I have seen from windows. i think I'll keep it. Hope this helps. I always come to you guys for advice felt like It was my turn to share my experience. Rolando Gumler

737NGX SP1c Crash
Just tried another few flights form KIAH to KGPT and back. touch and go a few time in KGPT and selecting new arrival runways which adds new waypoints to the plan without any problems. The only time I have encountered the freeze was at LOWI. There seems to be another topic about a member having issues with selecting DEP/ARR while in flight. This person was asked by Ryan at PMDG to save a flight to test it so maybe they can figure it out -- if indeed we are taking about the same issue... sounds like it.My PC specs: WIN XP professional / ATI Radeon HD 4670 graphics processor with 256MB / 3.33GHz Intel Core 2 Duo processor / 4 GB Ram I was entering a STAR after missed approach just to practice the LOWI approach over again. I use the default Scenery. no weather. no traffic. not a whole lot of anything ;-) my computer seems to just be able to handle the NGX and blue skies which is fine by me.Event viewer? didn't look. Thank you.

737NGX SP1c Crash
Same problem here after SP1c. Missed approach LOWI runway 08 climbing to 9500. Input a new STAR into the CDU and just as I cleared the first discontinuity FSX froze. The strange thing is that I did the exact same route and missed approach procedure the day before without any issues. I have noticed a frame hit in this area probably due to all the terrain the computer must render. Not sure if memory or computer performance might be the culprit.

Alaska Airlines Spirit of Seattle Boeing Dreamliner for the 700 livery
would anyone be interested in creating the Alaska Airlines (Spirit of Seattle/aka Boeing Dreamliner) livery for the 700?(I know PMDG has it for the 800)Or even better the Boeing Dreamliner house livery for the 700.If anyone is interested or can point me to where I might find it would be greatly appreciated.

Is anyone getting a couple of V1 call outs. The first comes in just a few knots before the indicated V1 and the second comes in as indicated.

vertical deviation scale and pointer
Thanks Ryan, yes, I as soon as I started the T/D it showed up. This plane follows VNAV so good that the pointer hardly ever moves. Maybe that is why I missed it ;-)

vertical deviation scale and pointer

Yaw damper won't come on
In my case the IRS has to be aligned before switching the yaw damper on. Not sure if this is the "right" way to do it but it works for me every time. and just an FYI, I didn't have to do this with the first few releases. Hope this helps.
