December 14, 201114 yr Is anyone getting a couple of V1 call outs. The first comes in just a few knots before the indicated V1 and the second comes in as indicated. R. Gumler
December 14, 201114 yr Commercial Member This would be correct, if you have the settings enabled. One is your F/O calling V1, the other is the automated callout. If you want to turn it off, you can do so via the options in the FMC. Kyle Rodgers

December 14, 201114 yr Just disable the v1 call out in the FMC PMDG options m8There is also a option now to disable all if you don't like umin simulation settings FMC route
December 14, 201114 yr Commercial Member Double callouts is something that many airlines do use by the way - the FO calls V1 at 5 knots prior to V1 and the EGPWS calls it right on the dot. Ryan MaziarzFor fastest support, please submit a ticket at http://support.precisionmanuals.com
December 14, 201114 yr Yeah i have seen this in a few videos Ryan i guess it's like anything personal choice..
December 14, 201114 yr My question then is: which v1 one would the PM observe in the event of an engine fail and high speed RTO? FO's or EGWPS'?Tim Uellendahl
December 14, 201114 yr My guess would be the F/O callout since there's a small reaction time once you call for an abort until you actually starts braking. EGPWS callout is the actual V1 and just imagine how far extra you roll down the runway in a few seconds. Thomas Danielsen - FAA Commercial Pilot, JAA ATPL
December 15, 201114 yr Calculated V1 takes into consideration pilot reaction time as far as I'm aware. Hence Why the early call by the FO. That's what we were taught anyway.
