  1. I downloaded Essentials last night but by the time I unwrapped it, deleted Rec2 and then installed essentials I only had time to quickly configure it and take the NGX for a short hop out of YWLM. My first impressions were WOW! The blending of the wind layers are great also. Can't wait to really get acquainted tonight. Enjoy guys it's looks like a great update:)
  2. Cant wait to get it this afternoon after i get home from work! it will add just that extr dimension onto the experience and NGX
  3. I did a Queenstown to Auckland yesterday afternoon and had thunderstorms in the Auckland area, gusting winds and broke visual at 600' on the 23ILS...was a great flight!
  4. I also really like YSSY(Sydney) to YHBA(Hervey Bay) Only has an Rnav approach and short runway and is great with Orbx scenery OR Reverse flight is good also if you have a heavy load out of YHBA. I did this last night was a great trip with plenty of weather. YSSY to YBNA(Ballina) is another good one for short runway ops
  5. One of my favorite routes in Oz is YBBN(Brisbane) to YBHM (Hamilton island ) using the Rnav RW14 Runway is only 5200' feet long

  16. Thanks so much for the FMS update guys, this has made my day! FTX NZSI is sucha wonderful product and adding the queenstown procedures really brings it to life for me. Having spent many times at NZQN watching the carriers doing the approaches this update has made the NGX that much more personalised for me and added so much more excitement (can you tell im excited!!)i did a short flight from Dunedin(NZDN) to NZQN and did the RNAVZ 05 which was amazing!. im just about to pushback shortly for a flight across the ditch from YSSY to NZQN in the Virgin Australia -700. cant wait as the weather here in Sydney is on the deck so should be an interesting departure :(

  22. Hi Herman,In the CDU you have an LRC select key that will apply got those long legs
  23. Hi sorry for this long windwd reply! Hope it doesnt bore too many:)Mach schedules are the most common style of speed control in cruise. Constant Mach simply means maintaining the same Mach number for the entire Crz section. At constant flight level a constant Mach number is also a constant IAS, As fuel is burnt and weight reduces the lift required to maintain level flight at that speed also reduces. To reduce lift at constant IAS the angle of attack must also reduce. This results in less drag and so the engine RPM will need to e gradually reduced as the flight progresses.Constant Mach CRZ involves reducing both angle of attack and RPM as weight reduces, the wing Achieves best range only at one able of attack. It is not possible I maintain that angle of attack and constant speed and constant flight level as weight reduces, so constant Mach cruise involves a range of angles of attack and is not as fuel efficient as cruising at a constant angle of attack IE(long range cruise LRC)At LRC schedules this involves a constant angle of attack lose to that for best range. As weight reduces the Mach number and RPMalso reduces.
  24. I've been getting crashes occasionally also using ESC.. Try going into menu then end flight from there and see how you go
  25. Fake flyer,There is a video on VA on approach into Townsville using HUD I'll try find it:)
