February 23, 201214 yr How do I get the dashed green VOR range rings to appear? I know how to get the VOR dashed greeen course lines, but not the range rings. The FIX page in the FMC. Enter any Waypoint, VOR, NDB in the boxes and the distance you want it to be in the line underneath.Put a forward slash ( / ) before the distance number. Eg. /10 for 10 miles. ( you can also have a radial before the distance number. Eg 120/10 )Fred. Edited February 23, 201214 yr by RYR738 Frederic Steiner.
February 23, 201214 yr Hi There, the range rings are in MAP mode and set with the Traffic (TFC) pushbutton on the MCP.I also found the other day if you dont need/require traffic on the display but want the range rings press WXR that displays rings (without weather of course) Jeff Blyth MD11 J41 747 NGX . . awaiting 777 !!!
February 23, 201214 yr The rings are a customer option in reality. Some airlines have them, some don't. If the livery came with a full or partial config file, that would be why they weren't there until you turned them on in the CDU. Steve Caffey
