  1. It's Para-Visual Display
  2. I believe OP said "Tried downloading somenthing else from somewhere else and the speed was my normal 533KB/S". Any more reason to use word "crap" ?
  3. If you think $3000 is expensive, how about Ansys HFSS software which costs 40000 euros (forty thousands) per license?
  4. I'm probably one of the less experienced simmers in this forum, but I remember in one of Just Planes movies, pilot was making decission what category of aircraft is he, based on his Vapp or Vref.If you think about it, it makes sense, because speed determines, for example, how much time you have from passing minimum height and hitting ground (approach angle is constant). Thus having different minima for different category aircrafts gives about the same time for each of them to safely perform go-around.Maybe someone will correct me here.
  5. If you are talking about "category", not "class", here's some info:http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Aircraft_approach_category
  6. As far as I know FSX can handle more than 2 speakers. For example in Realtek HD (standard audio hardware today) control panel you can set quadrophonic or 5.1 setup and then engines will be heard from rear speakers. But if you have only 2 speakers connected to the plug that plays rear channels and have quadrophonic or 5.1 settings, then I suspect you will only hear engines.Best regards.
  7. In this thread we exchange our observations based on what we see in screenshots. I believe my statements fall into that category. For me it's EOT.
  8. I think you misunderstood some of us. For me it's not that MS Flight doesn't look better than FSX. It just looks so like FSX that it seems it's not something new but rather good old FSX with an improved graphics engine. Most of us have already bought symstems that can run FSX pretty well so unless MS Flight have something really new inside, all we'll get is some FPS improvement. After so many years I would rather have a decent weather engine, sloped runways and all the stuff FSX is missing even without performace increase.
  9. To be honest, I don't see anything exciting in the previews. It looks like they refreshed FSX and that is all.1) textures look like they have bigger resolution - but we already have that in FSX when using addon sceeneries, REX etc.2) cockpit shadows look nice - but I bet it's just newer shader model, DirectX 11 perphaps, which is something that requires only recompiling FSX using new version of DirectX and a few changes.3) overall contrast and colors are better, hopefully they will introduce HDR, but it is what we can partially do in FSX using ENBseries mod or Shade.3) still not cloud shadows - that's is a clear sign, at least for me, that it's still old FSX only refurbished. So what's wrong in refurbushing FSX?One migth say that the performace will be better and that's important. I suspect it will be.But the other ones will say we still won't have weather radar, ATC will still be crappy and all we'll get is what we already have, with addons that we own already incorporated into MS Flight. As I belong to the second group, I hope we will eventually have an option to use PMDG product in X-Plane.I'm wondering what you think about that.
  10. Hold your horses guys. As for now, it's only this:"PMDG received a beta of X-Plane 10 two days ago and is considering converting their gorgeous 737 and 747 to X-plane"
  11. PROBLEM SOLVED.As it turned out, I had zero fuel set in FSX prior to loading the plane. It seems that even though NGX uses its own fuel system, there has to be some fuel set in FSX menu in order to properly start engines in the initialization phase (first 20 seconds after loading plane). Thanks for help guys. Best regards.
  12. Madfred, thanks for help, but I cannot find "ready for takeoff" state in CDU.Deleting the line from .ini file you have mentioned didn't help because I don't have any file related to that panel state in PanelStane folder. All I have are files CLDDRK, LONG and SHORT. Those are the states that I can load from CDU - no READY FOR TAKEOFF though.Should I reinstall NGX? Will it activate properly after second installation? Best regards.
  13. Hi everyone,After installation of NGX I tried to finish Tutorial 1. I loaded the plane and started cockpit preparations as pdf says. Then I realized that the instructions assume that the engines are up and running after I loaded the plane. But on my computer the simulation starts with engines down and MCP off. I can't find any panel state that I can load and have the engines running.Am I missing something? What should be the default aircraft state after loading simulation? Should the engines be running as tutorial assumes? I've tried to search forum for any problems with tutorial but I couldn't find any post regarding my problem. Best regards.
  14. Of course, if speed increases so does the lift. But it is the autopilot job to keep VS=0 by applying pitch corrections when in SPEED mode. In my opinion, the autopilot should reduce thrust upon selecting ALT HOLD when in SPEED mode (I assume that during the climb speed was correct) . Then pitch and thrust should be adjusted by the autopilot to maintain alititude with preselected speed.-- Xawery Dunikovsky
