Install issue
Hi, today I started having some issues with the MD-11, where anytime I tried to load it in FSX, the sim would crash. So, I thought, let's reinstall it again (I have the CD version). Well, whenever I try to run the CD, I get a message: from User Account Control: An Admin has blocked you from running this app. The program name is setup.exe, the File origin is CD/DVD drive, and the Program location is: F:\setup.exe. I am trying to install the MD-11 in FSX with Windows 10. Before having these problems, I was using FSX with Windows 7, and a few weeks ago I switched to Windows 10. I flew the MD-11 ever since, until today... I hope someone will be able to help me out sort this problem, and let me go back to the MD-11 again... enrico Never mind, it is finally working, I can't say what the issue was, but I was finally able to install it... enrico

Are Prepar3d updates cumilative?
Say what??

Are Prepar3d updates cumilative?
Hi Bob, you may be right, I'll do the same check tonight, likely it is the version I have, as I updated my P3d right around that same period (before Christmas). Enrico

Are Prepar3d updates cumilative?
Hello, I just noticed Prepar3d has been updated, and version 3.1.2 is now available. So far, I have updated version 3.0 to v. 3.1; what happens if I pass on this update, and wait a little longer, say, until v 3.5 or 3.6? In other words, are the updates cumulative, or do I have to keep updating Prepar3d everytime a new update becomes available? Enrico

Displays not very crisp
Hi Kyle, I just read your post, and will try to do as you say. Just an image I want to post, to show you what I mean, I hope you can view the image... https://goo.gl/photos/jXpXuLXUr7suLQ3E8

Displays not very crisp
Hello, Since I have been using the NGX, I noticed the displays are not as crisp as they used to in FSX, this is very noticeable when you click for example on the ND and it pops out, compared to its image when you just look at the flight panel. One other issue: anytime a plane is flying past me, below, I keep seeing its red tag, as if my plane is transparent. I have very few flights with the NGX in P3D,and these are my first issues... If I have to post some pix just ask, but please let me know what site to use, as Image shack is telling me my free trial is over and I do not want to pay just to upload two images... Enrico

PMDG 777 Product update question
Exactly, that would have been my next question...what do we do with the original versions we already installed? Enrico

PMDG 777 Product update question
Just to be clear: I have both the 777 base package and the 300 ER extension package. On the ECommerce page, at the bottom of the page for each order, I have a link. Does that mean I have to download both products all over again, and first delete the ones I have already installed into FSX? Enrico

PMDG 777 Product update question
Hello everyone, my PMDG Operations Center just advised me there is a new update for the 777, under the ECommerce account, with the following message: "PMDG ECOMMERCE CUSTOMERS To update to this version, you must download the full installer from your account at PMDG's eCommerce website". I do not see the full installer, just a link at the bottom of the page for the 777-300 ER, and I do not understand whether that is the full installer the Operations Center is talking about, or maybe I am just dumb and I am looking at the wrong page....thanks for your support, Enrico

New 27'' monitor and bad frames
enrico68 replied to enrico68's topic in Video Hardware: Monitors | Multi-Monitors | Video Cards | Drivers etcHello Bert, gboz, last night I deleted my fsx.cfg file, which was of course working flawlessly but for a lower resolution. It is likely, as gboz mentions, that there was a redundant entry for the old configuration, that was creating conflicts with the new monitor. After deleting the old cfg file, I did a new flight, rebuilding the cfg file, and, so far, my fsx is flawless and fluid again. Of course, I will monitor the situation in my next flights, as it is possible I will run into some other issues, we'll see. What I still have to do, now, is configure the NVidia inspector configuration, as per NickN guide, and will proceed from there. Thank you both for your inputs, and support. Have a great day, Enrico

New 27'' monitor and bad frames
enrico68 replied to enrico68's topic in Video Hardware: Monitors | Multi-Monitors | Video Cards | Drivers etcHello Bert, The monitor's resolution is 1920x1080, and that is what I am running. Of course, I changed the same number under FSX settings as well. I don't get it how other users are running even bigger monitors with larger resolutions and apparently they do not experience any impact. So, what should I do? Enrico

New 27'' monitor and bad frames
Hello everyone, before posting my issue, I went through some posts and noticed many here are using a 27'' monitor, some even a 32'' or higher, and it seems you are all happy about your setup. Well, I was using a 17'' monitor, and decided it was time to change, so I bought a HP Pavillion, 27 xi IPS. It is very nice, thing is, whenever I fly with my NGX, after a few minutes, FSX sturts stuttering... Here is my rig's specs: CPU Intel I7-4770, 3.5 Ghz, EVGA GTX780, factory overclocked, 8 GB of DD3 RAM, two SSD, one for Windows 7-64, one for FSX. The add ons I currently use are: EZ-Dok, Trackir 5, ASN, ORBX Global, FEX for sky textures, and I do not use AA, but Trilinear. As I said, I just tried the monitor with the NGX, as I almost only fly liners. The airport I took off from was EGKK, scenery from UK2000. Tonight I lowered autogen to normal, and disabled ASN, and I did the same flight, with the same results. As I never had these issues before, and the only change is the monitor, at first I thought my rig could not handle a higher resolution, coming from 1280x1024. But then I read some of you use even larger monitors, and so, just maybe, there is something wrong I am doing with the new monitor. Any questions you have that might help you understand what is causing the stuttering, please, ask away...one more detail: for my EVGA card, I use nvidia inspector, with settings from Nick, over at Simforums, and the FSX.cfg file was twicked by the the bojote's tool. Thank you all for any inputs and suggestions, Enrico

Looking for suggestion for online flying
Hello Bryan, and thanks for your suggestions. So, if I understand what you suggest, I have to use the voice commands and not the button commands. I will try it, and report back, Enrico

Looking for suggestion for online flying
I just purchased FS2Crew, and, after reading the manual and tutorial, there is a question that maybe I should have asked before purchasing it: when I fly online, and the controller say gives me vectors or altitude changes or holding procedures, how would that work with FS2Crew? I have the NGX version, both button and voice edition. Maybe there is a way to tell the FO what to do and when, outside of the flightplan...let me know, as I really like the product but would like to also use it online with real ATC. Enrico

Airbus and suggested joystick
Many thanks everyone. I have to make up my mind between the Logitech Attack3 and the Logitech 3D Pro, maybe the 3D Pro, as that has a three axes control, we'll see.... Enrico

Airbus and suggested joystick
Hello everyone, after flying my 737 for a full year and hundreds of hours, I would like to give the Airbus a try, also considering my VA has a lot of interesting routes flown by Airbus. I currently am using a Saitek yoke, and was wondering whether anyone here is flying Airbus aircraft with a yoke, which I know it would not be realistic, but maybe feasible, or if a different joystick is suggested or necessary to properly fly an Airbus, in which case what models you suggest. I am brand new to Airbus, but I am willing to give it a try, for a change, just to learn it and try new things. Besides, as I said, that would give me the chance to fly new routes on IVAO with my VA. Any help and insight will be appreciated, Regards Enrico

NGX 5 sec. freeze
Sure we did, just read the cfg. file.... Enrico

NGX 5 sec. freeze
Hi Nico, just by looking at the cfg. file, there is no way of knowing what process might be hanging when FSX freezes. The link I sent you also deals with freezes, same for the Crash to Desktop forum. Just look at it, there is an application that you can run when you are ready to takeoff, and that reads every process that is running, and if something hangs, and you have a freeze, it will tell you what it is. You'll find the instructions in that section, Enrico

NGX 5 sec. freeze
Hi indeopax, first off, as a policy, always put your name whenever you write a post. I had a look at your cfg. file, one thing I would do, is disable AntiAlias, as you have it if I am correct. Try Trilinear instead, and do a couple of flights. If that does not help, I suggest you read the following: http://forum.avsim.net/topic/428129-avsim-fsxp3dfs9-crash-to-desktop-guide/ and then post your results in the Crash to Desktop section of AVSIM. Enrico Never mind the Nvidia Inspector, he's got a Radeon GPU, Enrico

FMC and LNAV
Hi Michael, on the bottom right of the scratchpad. So, first you type BABOR in the scratchpad, on the legs page, and you line select it as the first waypoint. The "EXECUTE" command will light up, do not execute. On the same page, on the scatch page, you enter say 190, the radial you want the NGX to fly to BABOR, and line select key 6 right, on the bottom right that is. As a general rule, not every airport has a SID out of it, some in Europe request a Z flight plan, where you start off with a VFR flight plan, up to a waypoint, and then proceed IFR, or, and this is much more common in the US airspace, you take off and are vectored to a waypoint, usually a VOR, where your Jetroute starts. In the latter case, you won't file a a SID, as there is none, but you will fly on vectores, using the Heading Select function on the MCP. Hope this clears it out a bit for you, Enrico

Crash To Desktop - G3D.DLL, pilote carte graphique en cause?
Hi Loic, It does not seem as the G3D.DLL shows up as the faulty module...Take a look at the AVSIM CTD guide, and do as it says, http://forum.avsim.net/files/file/65-avsim-crash-to-desktop-guide-for-fsx-p3d-fs9/ It is weird you are having CTD with no add ons, no FSX.cfg tweaks, and default airplanes. Read that guide, and during your tests, lower all settings in FSX, set AI traffic to "0", of course no DX10 and no AA, just set trilinear in the FSX settings, Enrico
