  1. Yes, 90 knots. Tried already forums search function? =). -Tapio Leppäkoski
  2. either case -Tapio Leppäkoski
  3. Thanks for advice, will add these rows right away!-Tapio Leppäkoski
  4. Thank you for fast replies, ill search that file =) -Tapio Leppäkoski
  5. Hi! Could somebody confirm that Airac cycle 1108 does not include RNAV26 approach to LOWI? Or is there some options that I should change in NGX fmc? thanks in advance-Tapio Leppäkoski
  6. I have this same problem, have you managed to solve it yet? Let me know if you have found solution, thanks. -Tapio Leppäkoski
  7. Thanks for this info, have to do it also I guess. It must be related to windows registry or something because reinstalling fsx and ngx only didnt solve it. -Tapio Leppäkoski
  8. Tested all up and down :( I can fly it beautifully if started from default panel state, problem is starting her up from C&D,Long turn or Short turn panel states . -Tapio Leppäkoski
  9. I have exactly same problem except hardware. FSX reinstalled, NGX reinstalled. My specs:Hardware: i7 k2600 Sandy@4,8Ghz, Asus P8P67 deluxe, Corsair 8Gb 1600Mhz, Radeon HD5850, OCZ Vertex SSD 120Gb for Win7 x64 and Fsx, Saitek Pro Yoke+Throttles, Saitek Pro Rudder, Track IR5,VRInsight M-panel (not yet with NGX, waiting Linda support).Software: FSX deluxe sp2, Win7 x64, ******* shader mod, ******* tweaks from Venetubo.com generator, ENBseries HDR plugin, FSUIPC4 registered, REX, ASE, EZdok, Fps_Limiter_0.2. I am sure I forgot something from the list... Chris, could you write more details about your system so we could compare if there are some similarities between our hardware/software. I leave to Italy tomorrow for couple of days, hopefully you get this solved so I have ready solution when I come back :) btw. have you placed support ticket yet? Tapio LeppäkoskiEurope, Finland
  10. Very nice link indeed, thank you very much! For me there is huge difference between multiplying by 1.15 or adding 10% and half of it again.. I think last one is much simplier =)I agree that there is major error in explanation concerning "time to travel distance based on ground speed", I think it is meant to be done as follows for example distance 150 nm:150/10=15; 15/3=5; 15+5=20 minutes(150/450=0,333 hours or 20 minutes)So it gives rough estimate of needed time to travel distance along ground with one specific GS (450 kts). Correct me if im wrong but isn´t it GS (wind component included) which must be 450kts for this to work not TAS (wind component not included)? Tapio LeppäkoskiFinland
  11. There are people who flies simulator from "3rd person view" and those who says that simulator is not realistic because when you crash your plane it only says "crash" and doesn´t explode or something.. However I respect accurately modelled systems and don´t mind so much about liveries, wing views, etc., because they are something you can´t see anyway from the flight deck (and does not influence system modelling accuracy). Trying to say that my question was supposed to be fully system failure and "replacing window texture" based, not visual birds or fancy animations. KERNEL32 said (post #36) pretty much what I originally meant while posting.. Setting fault timer does the job for engine failures, Fspassenger does the job also I guess (thanks for the tip), however I originally tried to ask if there is some kind of "Bird strike scenario" which might be sum of multiple failures or something like that. I would have not raised this question in the first place if Captain Randazzo has´t said that there is failure scenarios included in NGX: "And then there will be the subset of users who will answer that question by diving deep into the hundreds of possible failure scenarios in order to take reach into the personal challenge and decision making processes of managing an airplane with anything from a catastrophic hydraulic failure during an approach in low IFR conditions to a simple failure of an unimportant piece of equipment on a nice calm VFR day..."Ps.I didn´t ask if there is something like spilling coffee on central pedestal vhs radios modelled or underestimate developement team asking is there something very obvious modelled. I tried to find answer regarding bird strikes and NGX with search function without luck and was convinced that this would be appropriate question. (Damn this took long to write because of im horrible in English)Cheers, Tapio LeppäkoskiFinland
  12. Thanks for your answer, cleared this thing up!Tapio Leppäkoski
  13. Totally agree about flying from point A to point B.. However different kind of failure scenarios gives great way to practice QRH abnormal flows and adds this way realism to simulator flying.Just my two Euros :Thinking:Tapio Leppäkoski
  14. Is there any bird strike scenarios included in NGX failure system and how deeply they are modelled if they are there? It would be nice to see broken windshields and random engine failures after strikes. Also differences between compressor ingestion and bypass ingestion would be cool!It has been pleasure to follow discussion during developement of ngx and highly appreciate your precision and "bug free launch" strategy!(sorry for bad english)Cheers,Tapio Leppäkoski
