Right now, I just use the hat switch to look around. I also find it useful to have the "trigger" switch to get my view back to front/center. Used to use buttons on top for electric trim, but have trim wheel now. That's about it. - PT

I am currently using this joystick in X Plane running Win 10 and it is plug and play. The computer does go into sleep mode with no problems. Very smooth and glitch free as far as I can tell. - PT

In the mean time I've started flying the Turbolet 410. This aircraft is amazing! Flies well and looks really well done. So, until I can figure out Plane Maker, I'm enjoying flying again. If you don't have this yet, you should give it a try. Also looking forward very much to the AirFoillabs King Air 350. - PT

Good points. I guess I thought artificial stability would help in this problem, but you're saying keep them to the left. I'll try tuning them some more. It's just that thousands of users are having a good experience w/XP10. I don't know why I'm not. Thanks - PT

Hi all, Very new to XP, Transition from FS9. Having much trouble with keeping aircraft stabilized on approach and take off. VERY jumpy and hard to control. Especially steering on take off. I'm using CH pedals. The skidding and sliding gets frustrating. Been flying FS9 for about 4 yrs. and had to tweak the aircraft CFG file to make them flyable. Could this be done in Plane Maker? And what parameters would need looked at? I've tried using the adjustments in the Null Zones tab. They don't seem to have much effect, unless I'm not using them correctly. I'm attempting to fly the 172, the Baron, and the King Air 90. All default planes. I'm hoping some of you very talented XP10'ers will get me back on the runway. PT

Thanks Eugene, That was it! I made sure that box was checked and it installed the drivers, although I got multiple warnings that these would destabilize my system. I took it up for a flight and it seems to work well. Why does the installation process have to be so convoluted and such a mystery? Also, I was using Win XP and some of the instructions didn't seem to apply. I see you have to start it every session also. Anyway, it seems to be up and running. Thank you, Paul

Overload, Here is a shot of my devises and I sure don't see comm3. Now what? (I guess I don't know how to post a pic.) So how do I get comm 3 to show up? Paul

Beerwolfe, and Overload, I downloaded them from that website, the "install base package" and the one for the M Panel. I have FSUIPC, paid version and latest version. Get back to me when you get a chance, Thanks so much.

I still have not found an answer to my install problem. The "installers" put two icons on my desktop, one is "VRiSim" and the other is "SerialFP2" . what ever they are. If I click on the VRiSim icon it says - searching for the panels - . After about 4-5 min. it says it cannot find any panels. So, I'm missing something here. It seems to me that this "panel finder" is looking for any of their panels not just the M Panel. Has anyone else installed this thing successfully? Please help, Paul

Trying to install the M panel from VR Insight. Couldn't run the installer from the disc. It doesn't complete the install, it says something is lacking. Has anyone installed this for FS9? Help! Paul

Does anyone remember a company that was looking for preorders on a new style of yoke and throttles that were made of wood? Seems it was several years ago. Supposed to be modular and converted to various AC. They seemed to vanish. Maybe I missed something. Paul

Yes, I was reading about 50% success rate with the conversion cables. I hope to be upgrading my PC and most likley will be using Win 10. So maybe more problems with that. Great to hear from you mark, these are rudder pedals, so, I'm guessing 4 pots only. If I got a board I would probably have inputs for some extra switches also.

Can the DB15 game port connector be successfully converted to USB? I hope someone has experience with this. Paul

So, since I fly from the 3D Virtual cockpit, this change will do me no good. A real weak spot in FS9 is looking around and adj. views. Thanks to all for your input. Paul

The panel cfg is pretty much the same for the 172 and the baron. I've tried placing the suggested line from rainerk and A32xx in various places in the panel cfg. Doesn't seem to have any effect.

Thank you all for answering, but I've come to the conclusion it's not possible in FS9. If I save the adjusted view it reverts back as soon as I change views. I hope I'm wrong. I will keep investigating this. A real weak spot in this sim Thank you Paul

A32XX, I copied those lines under the [windows] section, no change. I would be interested in a solution to this or to know whatI'm doing wrong.

Hey Guys, I'm doing no good in locating "[CameraDefinition.***] " or " VIEW_FORWARD_ZOOM=50 " Could you be refering to FSX? I am using FS9. Paul

I don't see "VIEW_FORWARD_ZOOM=50" in the panel config for the Baron. Is there another place?
