  1. FSInn is a typo error, should have read FSXClient, the client did not care if the live camera, live view is checked or not - the SPY still produces the error Message. I will install FSX SP2 and only use the Opus SimConnect and see what happens.
  2. to Opis Software: reinstalled the Opis SimConnect.msi over the top of the already activated SimConnect v10.0.61259.0 main server is shut down. Just the local client computers FSX, FSUIPC4 (not configured to do anything), and OpusFSX, running the FSXCLIENT. I can not do anything...... In all of my many years With Windows up to Win 7 x64 I have never used print screen or known where to find the image. Opis FSInn client configuration: server name: FSXSERVER, per Stephen: no checkboxes enabled, including Run in high priority, Microsoft FSX button: enabled, Clients FSX address: D:\Microsoft Flight Simulator X, (that's all) LAN cable on client unplugged. SimConnect installed? I guess you mean the opus SimConnect.msi that is installed; FSX SP2 Installed? I expect you to consider FSX Acceleration as a substitute for SP2 if not then let me know. To Stephen: The link thing is difficult to answer. Yes the FSCUIP4 on the server also has WideFS installed but I have not recently bothered to install it back on the client. I think that should not be a problem now with the clients network cable disconnected. "still getting client spy error HRESULT E_FAIL".
  3. to Stephen: complied with your instructions: SPY on server: SIM Connected to Simulator, SIM Air Folder = c172 SPY on client: GEN General process monitoring has been enabled, SIM Failed to establish link with Simulator, Error HRESULT E_FAIL has been returned from a call to a COM component. FYI: When pressing any client control button or editing an Opus configuration text window the Opus main client and Opus configuration window stalls for about 8 seconds and reports (Not Responding) then returns to normal. Is this a normal OpusClient.exe reaction?
  4. I like Orbx and I also like Navigraph for updating Aerosoft, PMDG, Project Magenta, and others Garmin 1000 like navigation systems. These firms are Navigraph clients and flight sim users pay Navigraph a small fee to update their systems. Orbx, on the other hand is at this time not a Navigraph client. Why? I keep asking myself. Of course all of the Orbx airports do not have FAA navigation plates but they all have airport layouts with runway designations and left/ right hand landing patterns. And Orbx really has a clunky way of providing their customers airport navigation charts by hiding them in their product .pdf files. Navigraph, on the other hand, FOR THEIR CLIENTS, will create FAA airport, departure, approach, SID and Star plates for airports and then charge sim users a very nominal fee to down load them to Navigraphs free Chart 4 program. For Orbx, for Navigraph, for sim users this would be a win, win, win situation.
  5. I really like the Orbix scenery but Orbx is a litter bug that creates to many loaded garbage programs on my computer. You folks are a smart bunch; can't you create something similar to a single library program that loads into the users computer systems and security center to replace the dozen or so Orbx programs that allow people, other animal, Mosquitoes, and probably fish to flow?
  6. Using control panel/system and security/uninstall a program - Completely uninstalled the client computers Microsoft Flight Simulator FSX, Microsoft Flight Simulator SDK, Microsoft Flight Simulator Acceleration, Microsoft SimConnect programs and the Opus program . Reinstalled each module, reinstalled latest version of FSCUIP4, registered version. Checked all drives and related subdirectories for share with " everyone", shut off all virus protection and firewalls. Still getting the same spy message ( server computer turned on or turned off). Installed the Opus SimConnect.msi, (server computer turned off or turned on with the same Opus SimConnect.msi version number installed)......Still getting the same SPY message "HRESULT E_FAILED" Of course the TEST does not work either.
  7. Stephen To confirm, I am running FSX and the client program on the client computer. To confirm configuration: client sim type is FSX, client sim installation folder is D:Microsoft Flight Simulator FSX refer to Spy results for sim connect below. position update and general update spy windows has no data because the server is shut off. 8. Installing the latest Opus release versions on both client and server did not allow Opusclient test to move the aircraft on the FSX client.
  9. Looking for responses and suddenly thought about version problems. It's been so long since I installed Opus on my server that I forgotten how I entered S/N for activating it's paid version. The program was very satisfying to use on one computer. Only in recent weeks have I decided to use client cameras. Then the trouble started and then did I uninstall and reinstall the client via copy of servers dll, exe, and subdirectories to the client, or at another time moving the servers OpusFSX.msi and running it on the client, or third time uninstalling and downloading new copy from the internet and installing it. Do I have a problem here? Currently running: Server: Op mode: UNLIMITED OPERATION ver. 3.43.1 Client: Op mode: NETWORKED CLIENT ver. 3.37.5
  10. Thank you for your much appreciated replies. I will run thru your paragraphs, top down. Stephen 1: I have about 20 hours into setup, going thru Win 7 64 share and everyone permissions on "FSXserver computer" (D:FSX, G:OpusFSX, and D: G: drives); also "FSXclient computer" (D:FSX, C:OpusFSX and D: C: drive). The FSXCLIENT.EXE is ver 3.37.5. I went thru getting started guide and seem to comply with its requirements. Conducting a test on FSXclient computer - c:/OpusFxs /fsxclient.exe does not prove to be OK . I push the button to start and it hesitates a while. When pushing the STOP Button I get "not responding" message for about 8 seconds and then the window reinitializes. By the way, please confirm that the FSX aircraft on the client is supposed to jump around and not the aircraft on the server when testing the client computer. (this night be a good suggested improvement to your getting started guide) A registered ver of FSCUIP4 is on both server and client computers. Stephen 2: Having no success in getting anything move on the client FSX aircraft so my client camera configurations are on hold. But to confirm your statement I guess I set the server computers opus camera-configuration to client, create an aircraft designated 2d-default-etc. camera and then watch x-y-z-yaw- moves which image on the client FSX aircraft and not on the server FSX aircraft. Cheryl 1: When configuring FSXclient.exe I have tried both my win 7 network server name FSXSERVER and the Servers IP address 192.169.1.12; both allow connection to client/ server green address connections. So I guess you are telling me not to use the IP (non- alpha numeric) even though the FSXclient.exe configuration entry screen says either server name or IP address. Sharing and security with full everyone permissions on both computers. By saying FSX install folder you mean the subdirectory where FSX is installed, right? Roger That, on freezing. When you get it working "not there yet" but roger that. Answer: yes. I have previously attempted to created client cameras but since the aircraft images on FSX client or server would not move during x-y-z-yaw-ect commands I only found that they would somehow translate to the server as a default image and screw up the server cameras. (basically! yes I would move back and forth on SERVER/CLIENT camera adjustments.) answer: yes. I am configuring apples with apples. Cheryl 2: FSX and FSCUIP4 is on the client computer. Don't understand "not trying to access the sim on the server" Final note: I did find a sharing problem so THE JUMPING AROUND EFFECT has stopped on the server. now nothing happens on either aircraft, no movements on client or server aircraft when pushing the FSXclient.exe test function button.
  11. I have used Opus on a single computer with four monitors active for a long time. The cameras function has worked remarkably well with my only problem - frame rates. That being said, I decided to run two monitors on the servers water cooled GTX Titan and wish to install two additional monitors on my FSX Client. Unfortunately, my FSXclient that can access the servers files and run VATSIM Squawkbox, Plan-G, Teamspeak and FSAcars concurrently without network connection problems, will not run Opus FSXclient. Well, that is not exactly right, The Opus FS client will connect to the Opus FF server and produce the green colored connection addresses. PROBLEM: The Client computers FSX program, in windowed mode, will start up an airplane with the exact same airport scenery that is actively running on the server, but the clients FSX aircraft never moves and it's weather never changes. PROBLEM: Adding client cameras to my server creates rediculous problems. The clients cameras are now default on the server, The servers Opus camera views on the sever now jump around and jitterbug the aircraft forward, backward, left or right. PROBLEM: Starting the "FS client" configuration/test function causes the servers aircraft in an active window view to occolate and rise 500 feet. Unfortunately, the FSX program on the Client shows a sleeping aircraft, nothing moves as if it were not connected or associated with the Opus Program.
  12. I am still loading new scenery in a new build and have tried to follow both the programs instructions and Canadian Express Airlines great PDF instructions on setting up the Scenery Configuration Editor. I find their information to bypass configuration and load problems so this is enlightening information. Thanks for the feedback. It will take me a couple of days to play with the system, watch for loss of configuration settings, ect. and reply. Re-reading your Firehawk44 post: Question, are you loosing your Scenery Configuration Editor configuration data when you bounce back and forth with scenery.cfg. like that? Re-reading your Firehawk44 post: Question, are you loosing your Scenery Configuration Editor configuration data when you bounce back and forth with scenery.cfg. like that? Sorry, quickly pushed post three times to get three posts.
  13. Yes I really appreciate the Scenery Configuration Editor, it's basic data entry design requires the user to prioritize each scenery. FSX without prioritization is a disaster. Creating categories to reduce the amount of scenery loaded is a nice bonus. My only problem is saving my categories, I edit each scenery for priority, file location, and create the categories, then do a default SAVE which creates addscenery.cfg. The FSX program automatically reads addscenery.cfg and writes the information into scenery.cfg. FSX now runs very efficiently with my edited configuration. MY PROBLEM: When I want to select or deselect check boxes to a new configuration I open Scenery Configuration Editor, selecting the default load, scenery.cfg file only to find all configuration information has been lost. Therefor, Firehawk44 has solved a problem that I could not resolve myself. My new Rule of Thumb: Never reopen Scenery Configuration Editor to its default file open location which is scenery.cfg. Always open a saved file that is configured for flight plan, state or whatever your desire. make and mods you want and do a default SAVE which goes to the addscenery.cfg.
  14. OK, I have solved the problem and will provide my observatons to hopefully help other readers who may be having general VOXATC problems. To correct Audio Environment and other problems: It seems to me that VoxATC does not like to be installed before XTraffic 2010 and perhaps even Audio Environment. Therefor:1. Start with cleaned registry and all of the above software programs removed from hard drive.2. Load Xtraffic 2010, shutdown and startup, start FSX with FSX settings to use Traffic - Assure that you can see the XTraffic aircraft and that FSX ATC works. 3. Load Audio Environment, shutdown and startup, start FSX - Assure that you can hear Audio Environment with XTraffic aircraft using AE sounds.4. Load VoxATC, shutdown and startup, The VoxATC indexer should now pick up Xtraffic, The VoxATC panel setup should be run to load VoxATC into your favorite aircraft.5. STANDARD VoxATC STARTUP EVERY TIME YOU USE FSX:5.1 [optional] Quary realtime weather using your favorite program (REX or whatever) - then shut the program down.5.2 [optional] Startup IRTracker or whatever.5.3 Start up FSX with a clean aircraft environment: My preference is a great download: Flight 1s Citation Mustang Forum: (Thanks so much Jim Rhoads) http://www.flight1so...SafeStartup.exe5.4 Replace the Kite with your favorite aircraft. 5.5 Assure that FSX Settings have voice and aircraft traffic settings zeroed out.5.6 Create or load your desired FSX flight plan.5.7 Select your desired realtime FSX weather opton or my preference: minimize FSX and now load the REX weather engine. 5.8 full screen FSX and now load VoxATC so that it can read the already loaded flight plan and weather.WOW. Does this work well or what!running 12 mb ram, quad core, CCC, win7 x64, FSX, and a big load of other software.
  15. I have loaded the most current Audio Environment (airliner addition) files into My Traffic x and into the default AI Traffic files and find no sound enhancement when using VOXATC. What Air traffc sounds I do receive are terribly muffled and blinded by the my aircrafts engine sounds. Even when I turn off my engine off there is nearly no AI aircraft sound. Hope someone has worked thru this problem and can assist.
  16. Shockwave lights Redux is a great program and Ozark Dogfighter has done a very nice config. for the 208B. Thanks for your work.
  17. Are you going to make this payware or what?
  18. I agree: my current rain effect seems to provide a 30 ft. umbrella over to top of the caravan. It's kind of awful.
