  1. Hey there everybody. I'm trying to find out what is the cause behing this crappy issue i'm having. It happens not just with FSX. But I'll try and explain it the best way I can. Every now and then my hard drive(I don't know which one cause I have 3) will lag when trying to even try to open up Firefox or when I open up My Computer to explore the drives. The hard drive(s) will lag for around 3-5 seconds then there is a clicking noise then it will load. It also happens when I'm flying around in FSX. The sim will freeze and the hard drives do their thing(lag and click) and then FSX crashes to the desktop. Is that a drive problem or, what my guy who built my computer says, the hard drive controller? I'm lost when it comes to stuff like this. I have the new Intel SandyBridge MOBO but had the one with defect replaced with the new replacement that ASUS issued. Any thoughts/leads?These are my drives:1 Intel X25-M SSD 80GB 1 WD VelociRaptor 300GB 10000rpm1 Seagate Barracuda 1 TB 7200rpm
  2. Well I did and they don't seem to care much cause i posted yesterday and nobody has responded yet. That's strange for a forum.
  3. This is all I see when I pull that up.
  4. Screenshot of whole desktop or more details about pop up message?
  5. I finish with a flight using REX 2.0. And when I exit FSX. This message pops up. I didn't include the details drop down explanation, but it has REX in the details. What does this mean?
  6. What does it do by adding that line?
  7. Ok. Let me set the scenario here. I made a flight from KJAN - KAGS. Routine flight and everything. Everything is normally fine until let's say I open a FSX drop menu to change settings or something like that. Or let's say I check the flight analysis at the end of the flight like I always do. I do that and everytime I come back to the aircraft. I GET ALL THIS...... WHY? Every picture was me resetting and pressing ESC and going to the flight analysis or just hitting ESC and coming back into FSX.
  8. I thought the hard drive had to be specifically able to do that. You can't plug a SATA 3 hard drive into a SATA 6 right?
  9. Yeah but I've noticed some weird things going on with my computer and it sounds like the hard drives get locked up. I don't know if it's a stupid virus (already!!) or the problem kicking in. Like it will be as simple as opening up a folder or firefox. The computer just sits there and thinks a long time and then starts moving, but I can hear something clicking down there like with the hard drives. I don't know. Building a computer has been such a headache. FSX just crashed on me a few minutes ago! Ahhhhh....... I think the problem is affecting mine already. I'm going to talk to the guy who built my computer and find out some more information.
  10. How has everyone coped with the Sandy Bridge defect? Done the workaround? Or replaced their MOBO? Or waiting for new chipset MOBO? I haven't done anything but will eventually.
  11. Anybody got the sandy bridge chipset and been notified of the defect and what have you done about as far as flying in Flight Sim X. I know I'm a little late in asking cause i've just going about my business.
  12. AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH! Why does it do this. I was hoping to avoid this annoying problem with a new computer and protecting it like crazy! What would make FSX crash when I'm 1:30 into a flight in the Flight 1 cessna mustang and REX running?? And when I get the desktop, it gives the microsoft.net framework message that a program has encountered an error, and if i click continue it will ignore the issue but the message wil pop back up, and I have to click quit for the program to quit. The explanation of the problem it says, is that REX has encountered an error. Why? Why? Why??
  13. Cool. I'll consider that when I take it to get worked on. Thanks!
