  1. Been looking at some throttle quads that are mostly for the NG and we're talking over 2 grand in most cases, plus if you can even find a real quad for that price that isn't beat to hell good luck. I have no idea what it costs to make something like that, but price doesn't look bad to me compared to what I see out there. Looks like they're taking orders soon so I'll be ordering a 707 for sure.
  2. Wow, 707 TQ’s?? Just found this little gem and it looks like there is tons of retro stuff! Check this out:http://www.simquads.com/
  3. Hey Jim, yeah I checked that out and no dice, but that is some excellent info to keep in mind when I do overclock my new board coming in. The other problem I was having with the system was it was not coming out of the S3 mode after 1 hour in that state. Not sure if that could be related and if this is all Southbridge error related...weird stuff.I do really love the performance I was getting (when it didn't crash) with FSX.....the next issue I will need to look up when my board comes in and I put everything back together is getting out of the Direct X 10 preview mode so my KFLL and KBUF airport's ground textures don't go gray on me!Thanks folks, excellent forum and lots of help, keep you posted.
  4. Hey Zach, I have an 800 watt corsair PSU. The only thing I did with the BIOS was set it to Optimal (performance)....I have a buddy of mine that has a computer shop and he tested the PSU, so far it runs fine. I RMA'd the motherboard and sent it back to Compusa for a replacement. All other components checked out ok.
  5. Hi Jim, naw still shows gray ground textures at both airports.
  6. Thanks Brett, it's a brand new build so no time for dust yet, but looks like the card is ok.....I hate these types of issues!!
  7. Hello, anybody having issues with random reboots with their ASUS P8P67 B3 MBs? I'm 15 minutes into Flightsim and bam, system reboot with no warning, no bluescreen. Its like you are flying along and pressing the power button until the system shuts down and reboots. I've tested the ram and no errors, have updated BIOS 1503, vid card latest drivers 270.61. I've been using RealTemp GT and the max temp I ever got was 62c on one core. In FSX I average 45 -55c and idle at 31c for core temps. I was asking some techs at Compusa (where I got the board) and they suggested either RMA for the board and just get a new one (exact same model) or go with another manufacterer like Gigabyte. I really like this board, and hope it was just a bad board and a new one will solve the problem. I also do 3d graphics and rendering and got a crash while doing a render yesterday (reboot no BSOD).Any suggestions?
  8. Hello, I'm just getting back into Flight sim after 3 years....FSX laughed at my previous systems, but now I have one that laughed back. I have an I7 2600K and with no overclocking I'm getting above 20 frames per second with everything maxed...finally! I have my Captain Sim 707 and 727 installed, Rex 2, Ground Environment X North America, FlyTampa KBUF (my original hometown) and KFLL (my adopted hometown). Now, if I fly out of either airport...about 15 minutes later the ground textures turn gray or white and I have to go to an alternate airport. I understand Buffalo turning white since it snows all year except 2 weeks...but KFLL? The response I got back was that I have DirectX 10 preview enabled, how would I disable that and is that the problem?Another nice tidbit, I have to RMA my ASUS P8P67 Deluxe motherboard because I get random reboots (no stop codes, bluescreens) and all other hardware checks out. Thanks,Boeing
