FTX traffic...
Too bad if you don't fly in the Antipodes.
-
What is VRAM use like when using Nvidea Surround? Looking to get a 680 for a triple monitor setup.
-
Gawd, I would die from excitment if someone realeased a g500 refit for the Tduke. Even a nice Autoslewing EHSI. Anyway, I think that VC is a little too old. I might buy some Carenado.
-
What's the VC like in the Aerosoft Aircraft? The gallery makes it look kind of flat and lifeless.

My CH Yoke is working just fine, do you mean it stops working after a period of time?
If this is the case I know the fix and will be willing to help you out. As to the OP; all my addons work splendid in Win 8, even the beloved NGX.
No, after a cold startup, win8 doesn't register any input from the yoke. However after I restart it works normally.
-
i haven't had any issues specific with PMDG. The only issue i've is that from a cold start, my CH Yoke doesn't work in either FSX or W8. Oh and MCX is a bit of a mess.
-
Which will be frightfully soon.
-
You cannot fly outside of UK with the scenery enabled. It's ridiculous.
Don't remember the good old days of VOZ and FS9?
-
My iPad is better for viewing charts!
Indeed. The paper manuals will always have the performance tables.
-
Gee be nice if PMDG got that EFB working in FSX. Now that would be cool.
-
Solved. SweetFX was the culprit.
-
Great work. Once again FSX is improved thanks to great people at great communities like this one. Fabulous. FSX taxi almost feels like rw now. Awesome.

Seems I've run into a spot of bother since hooking up my second monitor in windows 8. My usual 30fps drops to 3. Returns to normal when entering windowed mode or disconnecting second monitor. Any thoughts on a fix?
Thanks.
I have already rebuilt my fsx.cfg.
Cheers.

I have a Lua for FSUIPC that works with the Australian version of Forflight, AvPlan/OzRunways. Does Forflight have a simulator option? You shouldn't need to buy an app, apart from FSUIPC, which any self respecting simmer already owns.

Wouldn't this do the same thing?
-
YBBN or YMML are prob the best Orbx addons for international. Kinda showing their age now though.
-
For Australian real world charts, use Avplan. It comes with a free month. For the second month try OZRUNWAYS. Requires FSUIPC and lUA to hook into FSX. Does flight planning as well.

No. PMDG have stated repeatedly that the market is too small and their aircraft too complex to make producing a CBE viable. Mate of of mine has the iFly on his 737 build and it's pretty solid. It would be a second to the PMDG. Really, once you are in the cockpit it becomes less of an issue because your not using the VC exterior model. I haven't noticed anything radically different that I've thought instantly was wrong.
http://www.mangrove.com.au/737/ the simulator. It's just completed world flight. A lot of fun but stressful, I'm told.

Yes Thankyou for that explanation. I'm tracking through the threads atm. That happened while I was on hiatus.
I guess part of the problem is that OrbX has developed for 'obscure' areas such as AU and NZ that they haven't really run into the problem of assimilated with other products. I was surprised at the development of ENG, given that they have good scenarios already.
Selfish me is hoping that they will be badly bitten and come back and work on more AU/NZ products. :sheepish: YBBN and YMML are frame whores and YSSY needs some love.

PPrune isn't the best place to frequent for advice. A lot of false stuff is thrown about by 'experts'.
Warriors have an electric stall warning, turn the master on and check it. No bleep don't dispatch the aircraft.
Water in th fuel can be a cause for alarm. First it's important to get all the water out, because of a higher SG it should accumulate at the lowest point in the tank. First thing I do in a preflight/ daily is gently rock the wings to insure water is displaced. I then drain the tanks after completing the daily giving the water time to daily. The second problem is cause for alarm as it can indicate faulty seals which can reduce your endurance. Or it could be cause by half empty tanks and a warm day cool night cycle, which won't give you any problems.

Since their PR fiasco last year I have very low expectations and expect ###### service (if it comes from the top you expect the whole company to run that way).
This way you won't be disappointed. The plan has worked out pretty well so far!
Can somebody explain this PR disaster that I keep hearing about.
-
@Grumpy.
The way I see it there are too options, either you are not telling the whole truth or you got a warning for no good reason. I'm sure they will sort the kinks out.
-
Has anyone tried flying with a terminal chart. I know in AU it's damn accurate.
-
Arethe ftx forums completely invisible to the public? I do not like it when developers do that. It's like they have something to hide.

Hi, I have the RXP unlimited expansion. I was wondering if it were possible to have eitheer the copilot or an automated system like this http://www.voiceflight.com/content/demonstration enter waypoints for you into the GPS. Because using the dials and mouse are a pain.
Thanks.

I think it's part of the combiner screen. From memory it's mentioned as one of the 'features' mentioned in the introduction manual.
"Is not Bug, is Feature."
