  1. I dont normally fly the NGX with FSX ATC either, so when I descend, I dial the altitudes of the next waypoint or alt constraint in sequence until reaching minimums and never below that depending on what approach you are flying.
  2. If the retractables are in EXTEND they are not "ON" illuminating in the NGX (3 pos sw, off, extend, on) Thanks anyway
  3. Is it a seperate switch, or is it activated when the extended/retractable lights switches are on ? It would be cool if the NGX would simulate it.
  4. I suppose maintenance would extend them without the lights being "on" for maint light replacement purposes. I have seen the tail lights flash also. On take off, would you use the retractable extended lights "on" if they pulse ? Cheers thanks.
  5. I was out at Melbourne airport watching the landings of several 737 NG's and some had the retractable extended landing lights toggling from left to right. Is this an option or difference in any of the NGx's config ? Mostly they were Qantas, but not all. Another question, why do you have the option to extend them and not turn the lights on ?
  6. No reason, just thought of even distributions to all tanks and experimental once centre is depleted to put into practice correct procedure. Normally you would fill wing tanks to max regardless, and remainder in centre ? This is what I am currently doing, waiting for centre tanks to empty and switch pumps off when the amber alarm lights up, I wasn't confident that this was correct after reading another Boeing FCOM ? What is actually happening when turning off 1 centre pump ? Crossfeed open, would that pull fuel out of centre tank to wing tanks ? Would you get both pump lights illuminate ? Will have a read. Thanks Voj
  7. I have a few questions regarding when to turn on/off the centre tank fuel pump switches before takeoff and in flight. Loading left, right and centre tanks with 2,800kg's ea which give around 8,400kg's fuel total pre flight. My questions are 1. When to turn off centre tank pumps off in flight ? Before x kg's left over or when amber warning message appears ? 2. Before takeoff if less than 2,300kg's centre tank fuel switches off ? Back on after 10,000ft ? Found this in an alt FCOM under Amplified Procedures but could not find any info in PMDG-NGX FCOMv1 or 2 nor the FCTM. If I have missed it, can someone give me any page references please. Not sure what's correct as it say's if the centre tanks were off for takeoff and centre tank contains more than 500kg's turn them on above 10,000ft ? Anyone that can arrest my confusion, much appreciated. Thanks Vojislav
  8. Ok, will give that a go next time. Cheers
  9. I enter the correction as per this vid. And when I do this, I get a decreased value displayed on the pfd speed tape when left in managed mode and working down with the flaps until landing flaps are selected. Is that correct ? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_y2CIqQpt7A
  10. ok, thanks for that info. So when I enter Flaps 30/1xx for landing in FMC, should I not edit the flap30/1xx speed value ? I am confused with what the default +05kt correction does or whats it displayed for. Is that the value that is changed for correction and not the flap/speed FMC data ? or Would I just enter the correction for speed on the MCP speed window which then overides the FMC value ? When I enter flaps 30 for landing on FMC and dont edit anything in the FMC for any correction, flying the approach in Vnav selecting Flaps 1 a see a managed speed on speed tape of around 19x. If I enter/change the flap30 speed in FMC to add the corrections, that's when I see the speed tape drop to 18x for flaps 1. What am I doing wrong when entering the wind corrections ?
  11. Before the FAF fix When I enter a value for flap/Vref value for wind correction of half headwind, when selecting flaps 1 the managed speed drops from 19x to 18x as if its subtracting the wind component. I thought it was supposed to add the wind component of the flap/Vref speeds ? Can anyone confirm or have I mis understood something here ? Thanks Voj
  12. With Latin VFR for MHTG, do you get FSX freeze after a missed approach ? It usually occurs after selecting the RNAV RW02 approach again, dont know why. I find that I have to follow the purple flight path line closely to make a good landing, but true, an approach and landing thats super cool to do.
  13. What mouse type is that ? 12k rpm's mouse wheel is what I need then
  14. Ok, I will check it out tonight, I'm unfamiliar with what it is/does and how it works.
  15. Yeah, I'm using the mouse wheel. It takes a while to get to 12k. More info on the keybind in options if you wouldn't mind.
