  1. Hello, Everytime I fly in real life and get a seat forward of the engines, I experience that the engine noise gets quieter with increasing altitude. In takeoff and initial climb phases it is pretty loud, but in higher altitude climb it becomes more and more silent and in cruise when the RPM decreases it is nearly unnoticable. I noticed this effect also in many cockpit videos, theres only wind noise audible in CRZ flight. Maybe it would be possible to model this effect also on the upcoming PMDG products? The 737NGX and 777 have a really great sound package that makes you think flying the real one if you close the eyes, modeling this noise decrease effect would make the sound experience absolutely perfect in my opinion. At the moment I turn the engine noise so low that it is overtoned by the wind and other cockpit noises, but that turns down the realism level on the ground and initial climb phases because it is too silent for this phases of the flight.
  2. Hello Michael, thanks for the detailed explanation of the logics that are behind the system. Very interesting to see how incredibly deep and detailed the systems are modeled. I did some further experiments and saw that the M/D Flow switch influences pack flow only under some certain conditions, as you explained.
  3. I know that the recirc fans themself have nothing to do with the duct press, but a duct pressure change (and a change in pack noise) should be created by the pack flow switching between high/norm i think.
  4. The FCOM states that all packs should configure to high flow when setting the M/D Flow selector to HIGH. Also they should configure to high flow when switching off the recirc fans. I detected that there is no difference in air flow noise or duct pressure when i switch the M/D Flow between NORM and HIGH. Also there is no change in duct pressure when i switch off the recirc fans, only the air flow noise reduces. Is this the correct behaviour?
  5. Thanks for the fast reply. Didn´t got the idea to check the addon tab of the FSX menu

Is there any way to tell the RAAS to use meters instead of feet?
  7. Hello folks, unfortunately after 9/11 it is normaly not possible to visit the front office of a 777 inflight and make an own experience of the noisyness of a flight deck in cruise. But maybe some of you have some flight deck experience and could tell us how loud such a flight deck is? Is there anything that you can compare to it? I think that it can not be too loud because i see many videos where pilots are without headset in cruise, unlike in the 737 or 747, where noice cancelling headsets are often worn through the whole flight. Just want to set up my speaker volume to match the real thing.
  8. -Quicker stabilizing of the engines after advancing the levers to 40% (saw on many videos that the acceleration from about 30% to 40% happens much faster than modeled in the NGX)-The ability to make more than 90° turn when pushing back-The ability to program an Engine Fire before, at or above V1-Transponder with AUTO-Mode and/or number keys-Transponder control linked to Squawkbox/FsInn (that worked in FS9, why it doesn´t work in FSX?)-Thrust Mode Annunciation "R-TO" or "R-CLB" instead of "D-TO" or "CLB1", when configuring an aircraft without double derate, as stated in the manual
  9. Pressurization Mode Selector on AUTO or ALTERNATE?
  10. Registration of airberlin 800WL-Livery should be corrected. According to different websites, D-ABKG was leased to Pegasus Airlines and is wearing Pegasus Livery and Registration TC-CCP since 2/2011.
  11. Hello,i noticed that the panel flood lights and the dome lights are cold white (like fluorescent lamps or white LEDs) in the PMDG NGX simulation. On videos and pictures of the real one (and also in the old PMDG NG), the lights have a warm, yellow touch (like incandescent lamps). What is the reason that they are cold white in the NGX?
  12. Installed SP3 and just enjoyed the first flight. Thank you very much
  13. Also XP SP2 here.I have 19 inch TFT displays, the standard 5:4 format. Running on 1280x1024 resolution.
  14. Hello,i just installed the NGX, but i have to see that there are no numbers in the displays, as you can see in the screenshot. All other things seem so work properly, i hear all sound, the systems are working and the plane flies, but i don´t see how high, how fast and where i´m flyingI tried to reinstall FSX and NGX, and i also manually installed the PMDG fonts into the windows fonts folder. But nothing changed
