Type of VNAV descent
A descent normally comes in phases (because of altitude restrictions). What the fmc does is calculating backwards (so from end of descent to top of descent) what the vertical path is that needs to be followed. If the distance between two altitude constraints is such that it can be achieved with an idle descent, the plane will do an idle descent. If not, you will have a geometric descent. Because of this the first descent (from T/D to first constraint) will be idle descent and the remaining descent are (nine out of ten) geometric descents.Regards,Maurice van Kester

Runway centreline offset after installing SP1b
The settings were good before installation of SP1b (centreline of runway at inside knee) so in my opinion something must have changed in one of the .cfg files. Do you or anybody know how to alter these such that I can get the correct view? Thanks and regards,Maurice

runway centreline in fsx
The reason for (also) posting it here was because it also occurs with my default FSX aircraft and maybe someone has identical experience.Regards,Maurice

runway centreline in fsx
Hello,After I installed an additional aircraft I noticed that the runway centreline (In 2D cockpit or VC) is in the centre of my screen (inline with the yoke) instead of in the centreline of my aircraft. It gives the strange feeling the the nose gear is not on the centreline, but between your legs as to say. Looking from the outside the nose gear is on the centreline. Does anybody know a way to get the view back such that centerline in the correct location (centre of aircraft, inside knee)? Thanks and regards,Maurice

Runway centreline offset after installing SP1b
Hello,After I installed SP1b I noticed that the runway centreline (In 2D cockpit or VC) is in the centre of my screen (it looks like the nose gear is inline with the yoke) instead of in the centre of my aircraft. In outside view the nose gear is on the centreline. This happens not only with PMDG but also with default aircraft). Does anybody know a way to get the centerline in the correct location? Thanks and regards,Maurice

Name of VOR not shown in PFD
Hi All,When flying the NGX I noticed that not always the name of the VOR I tuned is on the PFD. It does show the distance, but for the name I see "------". My MCP Combo does show the name (when I press the DME).Nine of of ten times it is not shown when I tune in to an ILS frequency, however, for example at EHEH it is also not shown when I tune to the airport beacon.Does this have to do with settings or anything else? Thanks and regards,Maurice

MCP 1 under VRISim - question?
problem appeared to be my "old" computer, which is actually below spec. On my new computer it works ok, expect for the sync you mentioned.Regards,Maurice

MCP 1 under VRISim - question?
My MCP doesn't work yet with the VRiSim. Heading keeps fixed to the runway heading and the speed and altitude move to 0 once I rotate. How did you manage to get it work?Regards,Maurice

"Pre flight complete" does not appear
When filling in the fmc I would expect that when I'm finished with entering all the preflight data "Pre flight complete" would appear on the FMC (like with 737 NG for FS9). Does this however not happen. Anyone with the same issue over here or do I miss something? Thanks and regards,Maurice
