December 3, 201114 yr When filling in the fmc I would expect that when I'm finished with entering all the preflight data "Pre flight complete" would appear on the FMC (like with 737 NG for FS9). Does this however not happen. Anyone with the same issue over here or do I miss something? Thanks and regards,Maurice
December 3, 201114 yr I was told that PREFLIGHT COMPLETE won't appear on your FMC after Preflight. And PMDG also says it isn't a bug. Patrick - Denmark i7 10900k - GTX1060 (To be upgraded to RTX3080-ti) - 32 GB of RAM - Nvme SSD - 100 mbps internet
December 3, 201114 yr You now know when your Pre Flight is complete because you will see INDEX as the prompt at LSK6 LThis is correct. Frederic Steiner.
December 3, 201114 yr I've flown at two airlines. One fleet had the prompt, the other didn't. I think Ryan said it's just an option. Matt Cee
December 4, 201114 yr Maybe more related to FMC software update...I think that's what we decided last time. ;) Matt Cee
December 4, 201114 yr You now know when your Pre Flight is complete because you will see INDEX as the prompt at LSK6 LThis is correct.INDEX is there as a prompt before preflight is complete, for example when you first go to the PERF INIT page. Did you mean an INDEX prompt at LSK6L on a particular page? The FCOM talks about the CDU presenting prompts to pages which need preflight inputs, but IIRC you can always get a prompt for the preflight INDEX, at least at the INIT REF page.On the old NG (FS9) it used to say PREFLIGHT COMPLETE on the TAKEOFF page where there is now has an input for SELECT QRH ON/OFF (V speeds). My guess is there is simply no space to display the message any more, so it's implied by the page select prompts .Kevin Hall
December 4, 201114 yr Someone did say in another topic that PRE-FLIGHT COMPLETE message is an airline option. Just don't remeber whether he was Ryan or someone else. Matheus Mafra
