04MAR12: SP1c Released for full NGX product range.
Back up CD Am wondering about the back up CD scheduled to go into production 19Mar12 and be sent out via postal service. I purchased the 'back up' a few months ago. I do not recall my postal address being available . Will I be recieving a 'back up CD' in my postal service mailbox, or am I somewhat confused on this? ---- Bob

Livery-- unable to remove previous livery
Thanks Crankpin. Tried the manual clearing with no success. However, I did find a very simple solution to replacing the 'Livery'. That being during the the re-installation of the new 'Livery', when reaching the box where it is stated; "A TEXTURE FOLDER ALREADY EXISTS''--ENTER A NEW TEXT FOLDER"., simply enter something different. I entered the numbers 1-2-3 in the highlighted portion. Hit OK, and the new replaced "Livery' was installed . Success after much frustration !!!! :(

Livery-- unable to remove previous livery
I downloaded SP1b with no problem other than the "Livery Manager". I am able to create a new 'Livery', but not able to replace one that had already previously existed. Previously I had a SWA -800 WL 'Canyon Blue'. After downloading SP1b, I downloaded the same SWA. But trying to install in the 'Livery' I keep getting this message: Texture Folder Already Exists/Please Enter a New Texture Folder Below. //TEXTURE.WN. I cannot get past this point--- Of note : The new 'Livery Manager' is suppose to be vs 1.09. Mine appears to be the original. ---I downloaded a Continental with no problem. --Thanks ahead--Bob

Setting current time in FMC
Anyone know how to set in the correct time in the FMC 'POS INIT' page. I can set it through the FSX option for 'time -date season'. But I cannot set it directly into the FMC. In the PMDG NGX Flight Operations Manual /Vol 2/ 11.40.10 , it is stated "" If the GPS time is not valid,GMTstarts at 0000.0Z when the FMC is first powered. MON/DY is blank. Manually enter the correct GMT""..----I have tried. everywhich way to manually enter from the scratchpad getting repeled each time . Thanks ahead for any replys. Hopefully one day I will have learned enough to allow me to make a reply !!!! (gonna be a while though !!)

packs during engine start
During engine starting, a pack switch must either be in the auto position or in the high position to get 40psi for the start process. If both packs are off,the duct will only reach about 20psi . My question is, why must a pack be ' on-line' to reach 40psi ? Thanks ahead----

PMDGX NGX
Thanks for the reply Zach. I realized that the outflow valve would definitely increase the rate of depressurization of the cabin when opened to 100%. What I was curious about is whether the rate of pressure loss in the cabin would be very slow. During the sim test I performed (both bleeds closed), the loss of pressue took several minutes. Though I have been studying the 737 for about 10 years, I was always under the assumption that at high altitudes, the loss of an engine would very quickly 'drop the masks' in the cabin. Kinda suprised me. However, I guess with the large volume of cabin air, compared to the small outflow valve, this is probably correct. (and besides, the NGX is PMDG-has to be correct !!!)

PMDGX NGX
Having the NGX at FL370 , I decided to close both bleed valves to simulate cabin pressure loss. I was expecting a very quick drop in pressure, and was suprised to see pressure loss was minimal. Opening the outflow valve manually to 100%, increased the rate of pressure loss. Just wondering, does anyone know that this is the way the real aircraft would respond.---This is my first post (hope it got to the correct area !). T/Y
