A little bit of "Thank You."
Good morning Rob and the entire PMDG team, on behalf of the simFlight.de review team, I may say it was an honour and a pleasure for all of us to do the reviews and finally the award. In over 20 years of simming, I personally never before came across a simulation product that provided me with so much enjoyment. Even more, my insight into aviation raised to a new level. It was a personal highlight for me to meet you in person at the aerosoft conference in Munich in March 2012. Thank you for your kind words in your posting. For the time, my very best wishes you, your family and the entire team for a nice holiday, as well as a happy, healthy, succesfull new year. Greetings from Munich, Germany Stefan Benzinger simFlight.de

German website Simflight.de releases their comparison between PMDG and iFly
Captains, I'm one of the authors of the mentioned review on simFlight.de, and in the team we are looking forward to read about your opinions. But one thing must please be kept in mind: german is a quite difficult language, and an automated translation is about the worst thing you can do to this review. I can guarantee you to almost 100 % that the meaning of some statements will be changed by 180 degrees when doing this. Misunderstandings are a logic consequence, and this is the last thing we want. We've had a very unhappy situation some weeks ago, and this should not be repeated. Basically, superpilotv2 has brought it to a quite comprehensive conclusion. So much for now. And I will go flying the 737NG now. Guess which bird? Hint: it has four capital letters in the name ;-)) Greets and thanks PMDG Stefan Benzinger

conflict in NGX radio tuning, IvAp and Saitek radio panel
Dear folks at PMDG, fellow Captains! I'd like to report the following: approaching Paris Orly in a descent under IVAO ATC Paris center, entering the airspace of approach control, handoff to freq. 123,875. Tuning in this frequency via the Saitek radio panel, both IVAP and the NGX show a freq. of 123,88!!! A second later, IVAP crashed (running externally). Several attempts in tuning the correct frequency were not successful. Always 123,88!!! I restarted IVAP, got reconnected - same again. I was able to finish the flight by using another frequency (thanks ATC staff in Paris!). Later, I could reproduce this behaviour in different conditions, but always with frequencies ending in *.nn5. It always ended in a crash of the IVAP-software when run externally and in a FSX crash wenn run internally. I have no idea, where the problem is. Could easily be an IVAP or Saitek driver problem as well, but I have not yet observed it in other aircraft (also PMDG's). Maybe this report of a "radio frequency conflict" finds the reason for the one or the other CTD and might be fixed easily (IVAO developers may also think about this). Nice flights with this really great add-on! Stefan Benzinger
