  1. Thank you Dave for a quick reply. You are right about the P2A sid version being the one that looks correct. But how can that be. Both P2A and Msfs have got the same airac cycle and it is the latest. You would think the content would be interpreted the same. Have allready found the solution by increasing the off cause sensitivity. Can only say that P2A is a superb piece of software that have taken my simming to new heights. Bought the paid version yesterday. Thanks Lars
  2. Taking off from YMLT on the Karen sid from runway 32l then the departure in P2A shows a turn to the left ending a few miles to the west of the runway and then straight to Karen intersection. In the WT g1000 the same departure is shown as a right turn and then back over the runway and from the runway straight to the Karen intersection. This results in ATC telling me that I am off course and need to correct. How can the same departure be shown differently in P2A and the GPS, as I believe that they use the same navdata. The sim is updated with latest Navigraph cycle and have used Navigraph FMS app to update P2A to same cycle. Have photos but cannot find out how to insert here.
  3. Have purchased carenado 390 premiere and that have send me in big trouble. Plane installed fine and flies beautifully but.....the dreaded Database loading in the FMS stares at me. Gone through all the articles on the net about this as well as contacting Carenado support whe i must say came back very fast and I have added the lines in the dll.xml file as per their sggestion and my own findings and Downloaded the carenavigraph .dll file and placed it in the root of FSX Nothing worked. I used Wordpad to edit the dll.xml file as i had read that it was ok for this. I have 6 dll.xml files in total 1 active and 5 bak files. Since I have learned that notepad++ is the best tool and have downloaded this. Now when I copy (drag and drop) the active dll.xml into notepad++ it looks like text to me but when i do the same with my dll.xml.bak files it looks like HTML to me. Have i accidentally de-formatted my file perhaps? Strangely all the applications that should use the dll.xml are working fine ( execpt the 390 premiere) fsupic, Accufeel. orbx, and fsx sdk This is what the active dll.xml looks like: I do remember that when after making the edit and saving it said somthing about reformatting or somthing. Can I just edit the .bak file in notepad and then save it as dll.xml and before renamed the dll.xml.bak or what. Have used Flight Simulator over 20 years but not the last 5 just taking it up again.....as well as tinkering with files and such. Hope some one can help Lars
  4. I have just been reading through all of this thread and i have some general comments. Firstly, MS abandonning MSFS, I am sure was not just because of the financial chrises back then. They want to distance themselves from the veeeeeery difficult ( and expensive to please) simming community and start afresh with something that is labeled as simmulation but in essence is a game, because this is where the money is. Think back 10 years and all the simmulations made by enthusiastic individuals and small companies... they are all gone and replaced with an endless line of games both for PC and consols. Flight, in my oppinion will be a game with high qualithy graphics, a fluid appealing ( to the public at large) flightmodel, and most importantly MS controlling the addons. Flight addons can only be purchased from MS Flight apps store. ( they have learned from Apple).3rd party developers can create new products but they can only be sold through MS (who makes a profit ofcause on this). Now to Microsoft Flight Simulator; FSX in its latest incarnation. When MSFS was stopped I compleately dropped out of the hobby also because i was so angry with MS for terminating this unique franchise, as far as I know the longest running PC program series ever. I have come back within the last couple of months and I am amazed at what i have found. Because there have not been a new version (FS11?!) it seems like developers, hardware, simming comunity had the time to keep up with FSX and turn it into something wonderfull. Orbx scenary, REX cloud and water, PMDG planes, Realair planes, VRS superbug just to name a few are transforming flightsimmulator in so many ways. Had there been another FS11 just around the corner or allready here then the focus would have been on if the PMDG 737 would function in FS11 together with all the other addons we have just invested in. FSX might not be the perfect sim, but as someone wrote it is here and it is what ties the whole simming comunity together. Alternatives, forget that, just look at Xplane that have not had a great following despite all its qualities. In my oppinion FS11 or FS12 is allready here (Orbx+REX+new planes as above) and the good news is that this can mature further as no new version is being forced upon us. This is just my 2 cents worth....... Lars
  5. Hi Guys, In my humble oppinion the difference between the VC of Carenado and Realair is (for me) the sense of being in a real airplane. The Carenado VC s are doing this for me, and the Realair not. I think that this is very subjective, though. I dont have re Realair Duke, but have seen all the videos and their gallery, and they confirm this "plastic look" that i rember from the SIAI-Marchetti SF260 that I had back in fs2004. Just my moneys worth Lars
  6. Hi Bazthehat, I had just the same experience with the 152. However i found out, sort of by chance, that it has to do with which model you use. The variant with fairings on the wheels actually flyes about 10 knots faster...and it makes sence. However Carenado forgot to mention this in the variant comments in fsx. I share your views on the 152, and excellent plane and a VC that are very lifelike. Lars
  7. Hi everyone, Recent and content owner of a brand new c340.A shortcomming of Carenado is the limited documentation that they supply with their planes. I own several other excellent of their planes and have managed to find further background docs regarding them, like POH, owners manual etc. However for the c340 i have come up emptyhanded! Does anyone have some substantial documentation. From the Carenado documentation it is easy to see that they must have had a poh as the text is cut and paste. Any info. regarding the use of the plane is very welcome. Lars
