  1. A decent looking sim with DLSS 4, but it is not perfect. Better performance, image quality is impressive and no ghosting. But as you know, good things never last in MSFS. It’ll be broken again in a week. What’s remarkable is that I did not make a single change to the Nvidia Control Panel after I upgraded to DLSS4. I haven’t touched anything and it’s running like butter. My new philosophy: leave the sim alone and just fly!
  2. Very strange things happened to the quality of the image with DLSS-4. Is it better than TAA? I sense DLSS-4 is better than TAA, at least based on what I see on my screen. Perhaps others are having a different experience. I think technology is saving flight simulation by inducing better performance and image quality. When DLSS-4 first came out, I thought it was all BS, but it's been quiet impressive. I'd be curious about what others have to say.
  3. Agree, image quality and ghosting have been improved. There’s been no performance improvements in my experience. Thanks for post.
  4. Is it just me or the does the Nvidia app cause more problems?
  5. That is correct. It’s how I did it the first time. Use the registry if you’d like to confirm it.
  6. The clouds are pretty bad with DLSS-4. Contemplating going back to the old driver and DLSS-3. Maybe DLSS-4 is not well configured for MSFS?
  7. It is a lot more blurry and opaque, and there’s also lots shimmering when moving in the cockpit.
  8. Some bench marks tests would be awesome.
  9. Performance and image quality have not been significantly improved, and I haven’t seen that many people in the forum saying DLSS 4 has been transformative. There may have been some peripheral improvements, but perhaps not visible to the naked eye.
  10. Did you experience a performance boost, and if so, how significant?
  11. Has there been a boost in performance with DLSS-4. I haven't seen any posts claiming boost in performance.
  12. have you tried refreshing the app. click on the three little dot and hit refresh. it should fix it.
  13. The only language that MSFS 2020 and 2024 understand is sheer GPU horse power. Forget about the fake frames, it's a mess based on what's I've seen and experienced.
  14. People went to hell and back to get rid of the greyed-out DLSS settings in the Nvidia app, and all you had to do was hit reflesh and it works (haha).
  15. I have everything on ultra and 5k resolution (1.78 DL) and I am getting 38 FPS with DLSS4. If my GPU is going to die, it will die working like horse.
  16. I enabled G-sync and I went up from 13 FPS to 38. However, I removed the Frame Gen Mod because the freaking sim got very unstable, with 5 FPS. It was so slow I couldn't even get out of it. Nice!
  17. I also ignored the greyed-out DLSS 4 setting in the Nvidia app and still managed to get DLSS 4 to work. However, my performance is dismal. I feel like taking my computer and throwing it in the middle of the ocean, but that would mean letting MSFS win. I refuse to cave to a game.
  18. If blurry terrain were my only issue, I'd be ok.
  19. Is it even possible to go from 38 FPS to 7 FPS with these updates. I installed the frame gen mod in MSFS 2020 and it has been a disaster. Basically, I followed al instructions and I am getting frames in single digits with DLSS 4 and the new driver. I confirmed I am running DLSS 4 through the registry. when I upload a flight, the screen starts flickering. I manually removed the frame gen mod files. It’s really bad.
  20. What is the process for 2020? I have the new drivers and the most recent version of the Nvidia. Unfortunately, the DLSS option are grey out in the Nvidia app.
  21. No mercy for the simmers. There are bad days, and then there are worse days. Never a good day. What a game! Everyday I read these posts, my point is validated….the game from hell.
  22. The advanced Nvidia driver caused lots of issues with my computer, and just a few hours ago, I got the blue screen of death (no bueno). The central lesson for me is not to download drivers from unapproved websites. All my fault, of course. This might be a good time to take a prolonged break from flight sim. Don’t have the desire to start from scratch.
