  1. Hmm, well If it is coming to the 360 then there is no news on the console sites, forums or official word to support that,so highly unlikely! What I do find a wee bit worrying is this quote from a beta tester which may support some future plans for the consoles;- "Basing it purely off what is in the beta so far it is now where near a sim. The flight dynamics may be there but everything else is not. They are not including the entire globe as they did in the previous sims. Also, when I take a look at the assignable controls they all almost fit onto one controller. This is insane when you talk about how many different commands and options are available in other simulators.I’m hoping things change and they make it more a sim, but I don’t think they will." It's the bit where he mentions how nearly all functions fit on the 360 controller! This adds some interest on how this may be "dumbed" down for the console? Maybe some other beta testers can confirm If this is the case?
  2. I agree with "pvjinflight", in that the sim of the future that needs supporting is "Xplane 10",not "Flight"! No point flogging a dead horse! Xplane 10 is going somewhere with a developer who communicates with his market, loves his product enough to update it for the next few years and involves himself with the forums on what we want! I am not trying to sell Xplane but it is the only real viable "sim" that is going to be around in years to come. Aerofly by the sounds of things is another"Flight" with set sceneries so not really a true "World sim" per say! I have used FSX from day one but see "Xplane 10" as the only future, maybe not now for many hard core fsx simmers but still the future nonetheless. Anyway, this is all so subjective and personal for what we all want,so my opinion is not to start a flame but a view that I hold only! Regards to all!
  3. "You're posting in the wrong forum if this is for fsx"! :( Also see you have only one post!
  4. ..hmm, now this is getting real interesting.A free download?http://www.pcworld.com/article/247260/microsoft_to_give_microsoft_flight_away_for_free.html
  5. "GoranM",thanks for the link but I see that is in "US $" and am right I thinking this is in the States? Things like VAT"Value added Tax" and import duty were my concerns ordering from abroad! I will however look into the site If that is my only choice! Thanks again!
  6. "That's great to hear my friend!" I will look forword to these developments with much optimism then!
  7. I am in the UK but see no where to order it other than from the States via Laminer itself. Is this where I need to order it from please?
  8. The aircraft I refer to is mainly the jet aircraft. Have a listen to the following video, the payware CRJ-200 for instance.Listen to the sound spooling down from 1:41 onwords to see what i mean by "step down" of the sound wave file! The sim is promising but to me the sound engine needs much updating to at least bring it in line with FSX which uses multiple wave files. Things like reverse thrust andfull power need extra wave files in parallel atleast to augment the "percieved" loudness one would expect from a turbo jet/fan. Also listen to "fly past" to further seewhat I mean. I am buying the sim and excited about scenery design for my locations but am niggled by the sound! Maybe I'm too fussy but it is after all subjective but tome at least this area needs improving!
  9. Sim looks fine but the "audio sound engine" is dated and awful! Cannot believe that Laminar still uses one wave file for the entire frequency range of the engine causing this "step down" sound when throttling back! It would be nice to see this "updated" in a release posting but I doubt it will be done without major rewriting of the audio code! Shame as the sim is promising.
