  1. Just go onto the FSDeveloper Showroom forum, you will find some previews there
  2. One of my friends has actually managed to overclock his Ivy Bridge to 5.6 Ghz stably with a corsair H80i water cooler running maxed out. He's running at 4ghz now since he doesn't play FSX and does not need the speed, however it goes to show that you don't need a liquid nitrogen cooler to OC to high speeds with the Ivy. You just need to manage the voltage well and it should be all good. He was getting temps of 80-90 degrees Celsius on full load, which is admittedly high for any CPU, but not bad at 5.6. I run my Ivy at 4.4 ghz and I am very happy with the performance I get in FSX. I don't see why people feel the need to go any higher, and in turn give their chip a shorter life. If I were to go higher I really wouldn't go any higher than 4.8ghz, since any performance changes past that are marginal In this day and age anyone who gets a new computer for FSX should be getting a 3rd party water cooler (Corsair is a great brand). If you are serious about overclocking then air cooling isn't the way to go.
  3. Thanks guys! I'm not gonna reveal very much, but Vol2 is in the works and let me tell you that it will be the same price, except it's going to include many times more content than this pack (so you can expect more than 3 airports). It will take many many months (don't expect it any earlier than some time in the first half of 2014) but believe me no one will be disappointed once they see whats in it
  4. Hi guys, thanks for the comments I don't think the airstrips would need to have any more detail than they already do, but all a matter of personal preference I guess. As for using flows, I agree that they do add a nice touch to the airports, however they are not essential in creating atmosphere, If you fly around this scenery you will see (and hear ) that. Cheers, Misha
  5. Hi, I am aware of this, unfortunately thats the most accurate the seasonal changes can be, I cannot get them to perfectly sync with the orbx changes, since lanclass can have much more accurate change times than photoreal scenery can, and such specific dates cannot be set. Sorry about that, best thing to do really is just avoid those dates.
  6. As stated above, it is not Orbx scenery. Thank you though!
  7. Hi Ron, I can't do that because I am then advertising my own scenery, something which I can't do that easily on Avsim, so thanks for doing it for me ;D
  8. Ok guys, ordering all the parts tommorrow, this is my final initial set up- ASrock Z77 Extreme4 motherboard, i7 3770K Ivy Bridge, Corsair H80 liquid CPU cooler, Gigabyte GTX 670 2gb, WD Blue 1TB 7200rpm HDD, Corsair 850W PSU, CoolerMaster HAF 912 mid tower case, ASUS VS248H 24" full hd monitor, and finally, Corsair Vengeance 16gb 1866mhz RAM (2x8gb) Thanks for the help!
  9. Thanks guys for the tips, I will further investigate the cooler options. Regarding an SSD, I have already decided that initially I will not get one, however if sometime down the track I require one I can always buy it and put it in. I don't mind if booting takes 30 seconds compared to 10 seconds with an SSD, hehe
  10. Read a lot about them and seen a lot of videos, noise is enough to put me off, Blue has got nearly the exact same specs anyway
  11. Hey guys, very soon I am gonna start ordering computer parts for a new gaming rig, and would like some more tips before I do. What do you guys think of this? i7 3770K Ivy Bridge (OC to 4.5 or so ghz), Gigabyte GTX 670 2gb, 16gb Kingston RAM (2x8), Corsair 850W power supply, a water cooler (still not sure on this one, looking at the H80i, any tips on this?), WD Blue HDD 1TB with 64mb cache 7200rpm, AS Rock Extreme 4 motherboard, Asus 24 inch HD monitor It's not just for using FS but also development, so I need all that RAM. Any help would be appreciated, thanks guys
  12. Guys let me just say Longreach and Lands Inn are stunning, well worth the cheap price!
