TP and P3D?
After you use the Migration Tool, it creates a new shortcut in the start menu called Prepar3D (Legacy Mode). I suspect you may not be enabling virtual FSX correctly so check the documentation of the Migration Tool. This quote really intrigues me... translation aside... does this mean that the ground textures load faster in P3Dv2 than FSX or vice versa? I purchased P3Dv1 solely with the assumption that it would churn out those ground tiles faster than FSX did, but sadly found out it was slower. I would still be using FS9 if it weren't for the black tile issue. Being able to flip the FPS to unlimited and get clear textures is incredible it seems. It's always a balancing act using FSX and P3D with the internal frame rate limiter. The entire simulator gets pretty choppy fairly quickly.

Using the migration tool, click Enable virtual FSX. Then install tileproxy, and run P3D using the Legacy mode option created by the migration tool. It should be in the same start menu location.

Did we ever find a cure for the black squares in FS9?
Greetings, I've used Tileproxy in all three major sims (FS9, FSX, and P3D) trying to find that ultimate setup. The best experience by far to me was FS9 because we didn't have the fiber_frame issue that shows up in FSX/P3D. I was able to tune FSX pretty good at one point, but the decreasing frame rates near the airports really broke it down for me. P3D I found was just a little bit worse than FSX. I 'wish' we could all just run unlimited frames like we did in FS9! Then I started thinking... why not go back to FS9? So I found the old CDs and reinstalled it to give it a try. It was sooooooo smooth... but then it quickly came back to me... the dreaded occasional black square. Did we ever find a solid cure for that? I read a few places you can reinstall this or set that... but all of these were temporary fixes it seemed. I read over on the megescenery forums that there was an issue with a scenery.dll file that triggered black squares, and they even had an updated version of it for download. However I 'think' this was for FSX only but I will go back and double check. Anyway to cut my rambling short... here we are in 2014... did we ever find a way to eliminate the occasional black square in FS9?

TP and P3D?
Not true. Tileproxy works seamlessly using the Estonia Migration tool. Just run P3D in legacy mode and you're all set!

TP and P3D?
Is that THE Efrain Ruiz? How are ya man!? Long time no see! To answer your question... all signs point to YES! The trick is you need to rename the exe to FSX.exe I think. I'm going to be trying this very soon and I'll let you know. An added benefit is I heard you can keep the framerates set to unlimited in P3D and the tiles load like they did in FS9. Chris Hannigan

Relative new to TP, some (performance) questions
I saw nobody offered some help on this, so I figured I would give it a go...1. Not sure about hyperthreading. I'm not a huge techie guy, but I have also have a i7 920 and just use the default settings. Works good.2. Sorry once again not sure.3. I don't think your monitors will cause an effect unless it's drawing more power out of the machine. I run three 23" monitors without a problem, but I also run FSX windowed on one and use the others for charts and things.4. This one I know, unfortunately no. I found a good setting if you're going high is just limit the resolution to 1m everywhere and it works out well.

Is TileProxy Still a Capable Application
John,I put the TP cache on my C: (where win7 is), and FSX on D: (seperate drive). Works out really well!

Tileproxy still kicking... and looking good!
Hi guys,I've been a looky-loo in these forums for a while, but never really posting anything. Instead, I like to pick from here and there to see what kind of knowledge I can gain, then drop that into my current setup and see what happens. I just want to say thanks to everyone for contributing to this project. You guys know how to keep a great thing alive!Using your help (whether you know it or not), I think I have finally built a stable and fast TileProxy setup that works well just about every day of the week, and I wanted to share some pictures with you all. I took these on a recent trip from ABQ to ATL in the Level D 767. Yes the 767, and Tileproxy keeps up with it in real time!I use Yahoo for my provider and AS2012 for the textures.http://www.deltava.org/thread.do?id=0x1a155Thanks again!Chris
