  1. Flight is using the encrypted TrackIR interface which is actually a step back from FSX which used the open SimConnect interface and allowed for advanced camera control with EZCA EZdok.
  2. Most replies seem to have missed the point of this thread, OP is not questioning the support of head tracking but rather the support of one particular brand of head tracking (TrackIR™) when it is just as easy to support all kinds of head tracking like FSX did via SimConnect (also making EZdok possible). This video seems to indicate there is already some kind of support available.
  3. It is important to note that Microsoft have never supported TrackIR in any of their games, so it not surprising, nor a precedent, for there to be no support in Flight. FS8 and FS9 had TrackIR support hacked in by NaturalPoint. FSX provided SimConnect for advanced simulation control including viewpoint control which could be used by head trackers, including but not limited to TrackIR. The open interface allowed EZdok to exist, a popular tool for advanced camera control.Lobbying for TrackIR support is lobbying for a closed and encrypted interface that excludes other head trackers and programs like EZdok. The sim-lite approach of Flight does not seem compatible with SimConnect, but hopefully Microsoft will continue to support an open platform for head tracking.
