  1. I don't see this patch anywhere on Carenado's site (I see one for FSX, but not for X-Plane). Can anyone provide a link and/or directions? Thanks, Tom EDITED TO ADD: Never mind, I realized I had to log in first. Thanks!
  2. In general, airfields are surprisingly hard to find at night especially when there is any sort of development around them. So in that respect, I think the taxi lights in XPX are way too prominent. They can generally be seen for miles in the sim, and make navigation entirely too easy. (That said, XPX in general has a much more realistic night flying environment IMHO. The contrast with FSX is pretty stark, and as a result I always fly XPX when I'm practicing night flights.) On another night-flying topic: Has anyone noticed that the frequency of airfield beacons is entirely too fast in XPX? The real ones flash about once every 2 seconds, but in X-Plane they're speeded up dramatically and flash about twice per second.
  3. Glen,Thanks very much for your help. I can confirm that I was able to get it installed and working via the XPlane 9 port method. I haven't done extensive testing on it yet, and still want to dig more deeply into it to see how it works, but it's a major upgrade over the default "GPS" in XPlane. (It sure is nice to be able to load procedures, for example).
  4. Thanks for replying - one question though, as a XPX newbie - how would I port the installation over? (I don't want to disturb my other XPX settings, if at all possible).Tom
  5. It doesn't appear that it can be installed in XPX though - the installer will only accept XP9. Does anyone have a work-around, or have I just thrown away $50? :(
