  1. Hoping to re-ignite this topic, I reached out to the Carenado powers that be several years ago to inquire about a follow-on to the 210. The essential wireframe in the existing .mdl file is begging for rework to include the P210N: Difference in cabin windows Air conditioning in & out on fuselage PIC windscreen heat plate Right wing radar pod Aft aux fuel tank filler cap Leading edge boots Subtle cowl differences A late 70's/early 80's P210N model Simulate the air conditioning and pressurization on the panel (without them having any real effect on the model) and you'll have the queen of the Cessna singles which I have long believed will sell. The Rolls-Royce, Silver Eagle would be a third, follow on. For the most part, I have gobs of time in PMDG widebodies but if Carenado were to finally close the loop on the Cessna single lineup by creating the MUCH needed P210N, I would spend the bulk of my time going into ORBX backwater strips in North America. My solid offer to Carenado ~ I will pay $3000 USD (that is 85 customers at their current T210 rate) to develop this. PLEASE, before another jet or regional propliner, give us a serious Cessna single in the P210N. $3000 on delivery. Absolutely guaranteed. It would make my day. Tom SEATTLE
  2. Hello, friends of the 210. I bought the Carenado 210 in 2013 and have recently been seeing references to a v4 for it. Looking at Carenado's site, they show something about a v2, v3, and v4 in the blurb about features. Looking at their update section however, comes up blank. 1. Can someone confirm the aircraft has in fact, been updated to v4? 2. Is v4 for FSX or, only another platform? 3. What does the update consist of comparing to an early release? Thank you, kindly. Tom
  3. MartinRex, Thank you, for getting me pointed in the direction of the 210 hangar. I didn't see it in the Carenado main. Will post my questions there. Again, thank you. Tom
  4. Appears AVSIM hasn't yet a sub-section for the 210. I bought the plane in 2013 and have recently been seeing references to a V4 for it. Looking at Carenado's site, they show something about a V2, V3, and v4 in the blurb about features. Looking at their update section however, comes up blank. 1. 5. I have a 690A Training Manual in PDF. I will try to upload it when I get home this evening.
  6. Finally able to install the GTN unit and have discovered that everything seems to function as it should with the exception of the HOME button. Pressing it, causes a CTD. Just wanted to bring it up. I'll look through the Flight1 boards. Tom
  7. Interesting. I'm not finding the exe at all yet it seems I've got a good, clean install.
  8. I've had them all over the decades though have been waiting since I was a fetus for a visually stunning Turbo Commander ~ One that actually, does what it's supposed to do; with true, HD textures on top of it all. While at work up on the face of a skyscraper in Seattle yesterday, I received an alert (just as each of you Rockwell nuts did) from Carenado via email regarding the release of the LONG anticipated 690B. I wiped my drive last night just to give this aircraft its full due on day one of release. It is, stunning, indeed. I can smell the coffee and leather. Carenado got the lines just right and the polished aluminum on those Garretts makes me smile. I only wish the Beech A36 were updated to 4K, HD textures. In any case, I drove the TurboShrike on a four hour AFAM (aircraft familiarization) flight last night. I have but one maintenance gripe: GTN750 Integration. offensive initials not allowed??? What an insanely, OVERLY COMPLICATED, long, drawn-out, process of installing the G750 into the 690B. What, 241 different PDF files to sift through in addition to various, READMES, and various executables?? After spending the better part of a Sunday attempting to bring my 690 up to spec, I am at a loss. Have you successfully installed the GTN750 into the 690B? Would you care to elaborate on your STEP by STEP procedure? STEP by STEP, please. __________________________________________ Carenado/Flight1: get this integration hammered out, one or two clicks. Maybe three.
