I am trying to encourage someone to produce a scenery package for FS9 of the Tompkins Regional Airport located in Ithaca, New York. It is a neat little airport located in the Central Southern Tier of New York State. A package was produced of this airport for FSX, but the creator has no plans of doing it for FS9. KITH has an ILS runway 32, and has hills and Cayuga Lake that border it. I have no talent regarding scenery creation, so I would really appreciate it if someone would take a look at this airport and place it on AVSIM.com or Flightsim.com for all to enjoy. Is there anyone out there that can do a repaint of Mike Stones newest model of the FH-227B in the livery of Mohawk Airlines? The aircraft can be downloaded from Flightsim.com in the FS9 turbo prop section. Christian Page did one for Dee Waldron's AI model but I need one done for the Mike Stone FH-227B. I have the PSS Dash 8, obviously....that is my screen name.....when I execute an ILS approach I go from being in Autopilot Heading Mode to selecting APP mode for the approach. My aircraft captures the localizer and the then intercepts the glideslope automatically and tracks it inbound. I have not had any difficulty regarding the aircraft descending to the runway in this mode. I am not sure what is causing your difficulty. Try what I have suggested and let me know what happens. I love the Dash8-300 model from Just Flight. It is one of my favorite planes to fly. Especially with the new Turbine Studios sound package installed. Good Luck. Eric Hutchinson

I created a flightplan to go from KPHL to KITH. The flight loaded normally with the aircraft parked at Gate F5. I pushed back from the gate in order to start engines. I got both engines running and contacted Ground Control to receive taxi clearance. As soon as the ok to go was given I was just about to start taxiing when all of a sudden the whole sim froze and I got an annoying stutter through my sound speakers. The only thing I could do was restart the computer. I deleted my FS9.cfg file and created a new one. With that I also deleted my FSUIPC 3.99G and re-installed it. I also deleted the FSUIPC.INI file so that a new one would be created. These are the only things I can think of to try and prevent future lock ups. I use Windows Vista Ultimate 64 bit with 8 Gigs of Ram on the MB. I also have 2 Nvidia Video Cards that are the GTS 250 model. Each of these has 1Gig of Ram on them. I try and keep my system running clean. I use Norton's Systemworks and keep the Registry clean. I also use O and O Defrag to optimize my HD. My processor is an Intel Dual Core Chip. I think that every now and then either the FS9.cfg file becomes corrupted or the FSUIPC file may get messed up. Maybe if these are updated say, once a month that will prevent freezes from occurring. Fellow FS9 Pilots.... I am using the PSS Dash 8-300 aircraft. I have found everything on the aircraft works well with one interesting peculiarity. While parked on the gate at my departure airport the rudder works fine. I can kick my CH rudder pedals left and right and can visually verify by looking at the external view of the plane that in fact the rudder is moving properly. Now, sometime after takeoff something happens to the rudder. I have noticed that after landing when I taxi up to the arrival gate and attempt to move the rudder, l go to an external view of the aircraft and can see that the rudder is constantly moving very fast....almost like it is in spasm and only moves a little left to right. When I try to get full rudder deflection by moving my pedals completely left and right the rudder on the aircraft fails to respond. I have written Flight1 support concerning this issue and was told they have no idea what is causing the problem. I have Windows Vista Ultimate 64 bit edition, FS9.1 version, and a CH Products Control Yoke and CH Rudder Pedals all of which have been calibrated using my FSUIPC ver 3.99G. If anyone has any thoughts about this phenomenom please share them with me. I can fly the aircraft with no loss of directional control. It is just one of those unsolved issues that is a nuisance. Can anyone please send me a copy of FSUIPC version 3.98? I recently upgraded to version 3.99 but it is causing me problems with FS9. I deleted 3.98 like an idiot thinking it would no longer be needed. Many thanks to anyone who can send it to me. PSSDash8
